Hey fellas, I'm really interested in getting into sport shooting and eventually hunting as a hobby. I know a shit-ton about gun safety and the whole scene despite never actually acquiring a PAL. I'm sure I'll ace the written and practical tests with no sweat.
My criminal record is clean but I do know they ask if you have had any sort of psychological "treatment" within the last [x] amount of years and if so make you write a letter of explanation.
Shitter is I've been on and off some prescription psych meds for a couple years. (completely off and out of "treatment" for some time now) Never been considered a suicide risk or anything like that, just had some pretty unremarkable personal struggles.
Anyway, what is the likelihood my mundane medical history will have a negative impact in regards to my PAL application?

Call up the number they give you if you have questions and ask what you need from a doctor. It'll probably be something like "Anon has been taking ____ for _____, he would not be a danger to himself or others if he received a PAL" or whatever they need.
I believe it's a 5 year window for them needing a doctor to write something up for you.

I scribbled violently in a moving car that I'd been depressed but I wasn't anymore and sent it in and got it like a day or two after the minimum waiting period. Downplay or barely mention it and they won't give a fuck. They put no work into verifying the shit, or even checking more than one (or sometimes any) of the references. Here's why I'm asking: regular PAL they will only check your criminal background and probably won't even contact your references; exception: spouse or ex-spouse will be contacted every time. On the off chance that they do check a reference, will the reference mention you've been on meds? Basically what I'm getting at is that putting down "no" on the form would be lieing and therefore a crime, but chances are you will never get caught.

Do as your conscience allows. But know that answering "yes" may make future renewals a hassle.

Airsoft is a pretty fun activity when you play with a group of like-minded individuals. Its a very easy sport to make friends in. My social circles have expanded exponentially since I started playing (2010). The MilSim games are where its at, and its *usually* where the best players gravitate too.

The problem with airsoft is when people start taking it WAY too seriously and forget that its a fucking game. Dont be one of those people.

Generally it would be making sure the action is bedded properly, maybe a bit of sanding to make things fit. From what I can tell, Boyd's stocks are made "generic", and there are always little variations in each firearm that you have to adjust for. It should be fairly minor inletting.

Hey guys, is anyone into shotshell reloading? I'm trying to figure out if it's cost-effective when compared to buying bulk target loads for $60-$100 / 250. Also how hard is it to reload for slugs and buckshot? I tend to pay around $1 / round for those and they seem like they would be a lot more viable for reloading.

I'm pretty new to reloading to be honest, but my gf said she'd buy me something at cabelas worth $80 or less and the Lee Load all caught my eye.
