OD is best, especially when paired with dark blue clothing. Tan looks like diarrhea. Black makes you look like a mallninja. Any cammo pattern will make you look like a tryhard if you're not military. Also, Multicam/MTP looks like a mix of puked beer and kepab on the floor.

Who is even going to see it that it would make a difference? Personally I bought mine mostly to run with and I run in the morning before light so I got black.

The phrase "cities are grey" is pretty misleading. The type of grey varies immensely from building to building, city to city. Even still, a blanket statement that 'most greys like "wolf grey" are far too blue and unnatural to work well' isn't far off. Browns often work just as well if not better.

I have worn pic related in public though just to test it. in winter under a gore tex jacket so the camo/color doesn't matter. can't recommend the PC. the yoke is needlessly bulky and foams here don't do jack other than make the PC harder to conceal. what you want here is supple, thin and wide straps made from seat belt material, not chinkshit webbing that can cut your carotid open if you make a fast turn with your head.
