Better than what I did, which is buy the Allen Engineering Mk12 can, then sell the mk12 upper. Now I have a can with a couple months left in jail I'll have nothing to do with. Thinking about putting together a 16" lightweight precision gun with the ops inc brake and collar I guess. Use it as a varmint slayer.

Meh, wouldn't matter if the mk12 was still collecting dust. Might see if BCM will slap an ops inc brake and collar on a 16" SS410 keymod upper for me eventually. Would make for a good lightweight, fairly precise gun.

Probably only because ASR is a bit more chunky, I think I read something about MAAD mounts popping out of track when you try to crank them down when they're not fully inserted. ASR is a little more foolproof with huge, coarse threads.

If it's any consolation, I'd pick MAAD over ASR. It's more like Dead Air's Key-Mo mount, which I really like.

For those big ass millennium lights nothing beats a tape switch and tbqh they are too big for me to consider mounting offset. If you GI Joe grip a VFG and can wrap the thumb around the other side pretty well though, not a bad solution.
