Well the general consensus on /arg/ is that free float uppers are the way to go. Or if you get a A2 its should be a clone. I on the other hand love my PSA midlength a2 upper. It has performed flawlessly with all ammo I've fed it.

That said are you happy with those components? I bought all the parts in this same kit at different times and I just bought a different stock and grip today. If you think you will end up doing that you can save yourself some time and money buy getting the exact components you will build to.

I don't have a good pic showing it but the section with the flats just above the "mount section" and below the radiator fins is removable. Lightens it up and removes about an inch from the OAL. That's how I have mine now.

I'm sure they will, they seem very receptive to input on their house products. They do have another light that is at its gen 2 but it is 1" diameter hand held that can be pressed into service as a weapon light. I plan to get one to carry with me at work.

It was one of those AIMSurplus 479 specials. New Trijicon sights, it's been Cerakoted Midnight Blue, magazine disconnect safety and lanyard stud has been removed, VZ grips added. Barrel and small internal parts will be NP3 plated eventually. New springs and extractor will be added eventually as well. I'm broke rn My projects have come to a grinding vault.
