One .There's multiple reports of boresnake tearing apart and yadada. Two The section of boresnake that doesnt have bronze brush doesnt make good tight contact with bore like patch and jag. Three. The brush section as you all know bronze brush dont last forever and they need to be replaced timely. Four. You have to feed rope into barrel then pull from other end and repeat. Over n over.

With rod you can go back and forth without needing go all over other end again applicable with brish and patch (looped jag). Plus solid jag for final tigh fitting patch to get those sharp corners on each side of groove for some barrel. With rod you can punch out stuck case. Brush can be replaced instead of buying whole boresnake. Dirty patch discard easily meanwhile dirty boresnake...

I wouldn't shoot +P out of it because I know how the locking block works, I think it's irresponsible of Remington to advertise it as +P safe. They took a STEEL frame gun chambered in .32, made the frame ALUMINUM and bumped it up to overload-powered 9mm +P.

But I'd say probably 3-5,000 rounds before significant peening occurs on the aluminum frame with regular ammo, or 1,500-2,000 +P. They should have made a steel shoulder insert for the frame. After taking it apart and inspecting, they should have done about 12 things differently. And I'm not even an engineer.

It's not so outrageous a claim, these are very cheap investment cast metal parts. I've no doubt that the plastic stuff is made in Southeast Asia, but I don't recall seeing Taiwan on the packaging I went through.

I mean, even if the metal components were made in Taiwan, does it matter if their QC and customer service are up to par? Where matters less than what they're made of and to what standards they hold production. PA/Holosun/Vortex optics for example. Strike seems to have a good reputation apart from the association with airshit (and that I'd guess comes more from the remarkably low prices, so kiddos buy it for their toys).

Also I'd rather have something made in Taiwan than in China. I don't need to catch SARS off my fucking selector.
