The only problem i have with a 308 AR is that I do want one to do a 243 upper, however I know a bolt 243 is going to be superior.

I'd really like a bolt gun system where you could have an AR like lower, and buy bolt gun uppers. You could setup whatever trigger and stock you wanted, fully adjustable, and swap out uppers as desired.
