A gun store near me has like 880 rounds for around $250 or 260, so I might buy that up. Like I said, I dont mind paying more for commercial ammo if I have to, but $0.25-$0.35 high powered rifle rounds are nice.

I heard reloading x39 wasn't worth it, can't imagine 54r is anymore worth it either? I'm talking about brass, non-magnetic here too. Can't shoot steel in CA. I've really been considering buying the corrosive ammo crate on sgammo and then just reloading those brass cases. Not like they're gonna be corrosive more than once, right?

I've been Reloading it for years now, and yeah I'm definitely not saving money against what I paid for most of this stuff in 2007 (a case was $70 back then). But I have a SVT, a PSL and now a Winchester 1895. Those are pains in the ass to clean, so I'm not going to shoot surplus through them. Might as well get rid of it, make a bit of cash and put that into something else.

I think the psl is damn easy to clean personally. Pic related is my magic bullet for cleaning ak tubes. Brush, then snake to leave it like new.

It's more of a pain than I want to put into it, even though I haven't shot my PSL in 3 years. I'm more worried about my SVT and Winchester.

Also, I like my ammo availability not being subject to import bans or scares.

Yeah, I'd worry more about the other two by far.
And there's almost always plenty of 150gr noncorrosive ammo for sale, even hunting ammo.
I've used heavy ball 54r, don't really care for it in any way.
