Most Grineer 'magazines' are some kind of bulbous flask.

Grineer weapons seem to consume 'detonite' as ammunition, and given that detonite is stored in ampules and resembles a green liquid of some sort, it is most likely that Warframe projectile weapons consume some kind of liquid or resin as ammo, so a flask for a magazine is perfectly logical given the in-universe mechanics.
