Mine is grabbing. If I rock the mount onto a rail without locking it, I can barely feel the recoil bar spring get compressed, and the mount will not slide forward or back. Pic related, upper receiver notch T13 is the little tiny dimple from where the recoil bar spring tip ramps over the edge of the rail.

I Giddied up the recoil bar trying to pull it out with pliers. Turns out it's press fit in addition to fastened. :(

Try setting the mount on a rail and sliding it forward and back. It shouldn't slide; the spring should push the recoil bar forward in preparation for clamping.

Little clever engineering things like this get my pussy so wet.

The GAP-10 costs the same as a SCAR 17, Larue, or MDR 7.62 and costs less than half as much as an SR25, M110 or HK417, but is at least twice as accurate as any of those out of the box.

I'd just buy the MRO if I were you and didn't have any astigmatism/other issues.

Don't know if it's at all similar but I bought a trijicon RMR and was worried about people's reviews about the battery contacts being weak or shorting during fire. Apparently nobody used a tiny bit of blue loctite to completely secure the rmr onto their guns, which completely fixed the "issue" for me.

so what I'm assuming in your case is that you're not only paying for a different product but maybe some of your money is going to prevent some headaches that you don't want to deal with
