>>32526684
Yeah 14.5 pinned. The 16 will fit fine, but it's definitely the limit for that bag. If I'm not mistaken they made a "large" version that will take longer guns, maybe up to 18"?
>>32526688
Yeah for practice ammo I do.
speaking of cases, ive been searching for a handcase that will fit only a pinned 14.5" ar with the stock collapsed. i want it as tight as possible, but it seems like noone makes something like this. closest thing ive found was this take down case. i bought one and it fits but i wish it was an inch shorter length wise and an inch longer width wise. plus the pillar in the middle sucks

>>32526849
Last I checked a good set of sights was around $120. Good tritium sights are closer to $200.
And a Ghost trigger kit is $90.
And good baseplates are ~$10 each.
So you're looking at over $220 to fix the shit sights, shit trigger, and fragile baseplate. Which is pretty fucking close to half the cost of a new gen4 Glock or over half the cost of a NOS gen3 Glock.
>>32526882
It wasn't just the pull/break, I think it may be the width and how the gun sat in my hands which contributed. I carried a 19 for a couple years, loved the thing, but just couldn't pull, point and shoot as well or accurate with it as I could other options. If you can shoot well with Glocks, they are hard as hell to beat in utility and reliability. Generally speaking the top of the bang for buck ladder.

The 45C's DA pull sucks dick but I can control it well. SA feels damn good. VP sits so damn well in the hands and the trigger is thin which is why I think I can work with the standard, relatively meh-tier trigger that's similar to most striker fired guns (Glock included).

Every gunsmith within 500 miles of STL. While I can get it done for $20 too, I'd need to spend $35 to ship it or $100+ in gas to drive it to that smith because he's in fucking Cleveland.
I have had 11 baseplates break on my g17 mags, including both factory mags within a week of buying my blue label.
The FNS is an all around better striker gun and its ~$350. And it comes from the factory with Trij HD sights. The P320 is slightly better in most categories and is $300 cheaper than a gen4 Glock (but the trigger sucks as bad or worse).
My Ghost connector in my G17 actually INCREASED pull weight a fraction of a pound. All it did was smooth out the pull.

That's why youtube "professionals" do it. Anything that generates that much shitposting is a goldmine for views and lines their pockets. I also don't trust Tim for shit, that guy will shill for whoever is helping him out.
I definitely recommend checking out the VP9, even if it's just a range rental. Kind of cool getting that striker fired feel with P30 ergonomics.
For the record I have put my own through a personal "torture" test, but I hate talking about it because it's just more of the same shitposting fuel. Needless to say it functioned much better than Tim showed his to, but I would have legitimate concerns if the entire thing was submerged in mud. I did find simply hand-wiping the mud off the frame/slide quickly and giving it a quick, but hard shake increased functionality in that condition 10x over. Issue I see is the tight fitting of the gun mixed with the opening at the rear of the gun. If you get heavy grime and grit into that action it doesn't like to go into battery.
Once I see people throwing the pistol 30 feet in the air and hucking it like a baseball at steel and trees, I tend to disregard anything else they say or do.

worst handgun i ever owned
>dogshit trigger with lots of creep
>didnt like to lock back on last round
>unnecessary rotating barrel
it was comfy and neat looking but those were its only pros
>>32527350
dont waste your time.
>glocks hardly if ever fail
if it fails, quickly clear the weapon give it a shake to get whatever the fuck is on it off, and slam the mag back in. the only problem ive ever had with a glock was my 43 when i installed magazine extensions and they make the spring kinda weak.
also, get a real holster that thing is shit.
>>32527523
you dont have to close one eye to appreciate ample FOV dum gote feg
>all he knows is bb dots and degeneracy
>>32527401
Yikes. yeah i could see why they might break. I've done a decent amount of both IDPA and USPSA. Sharpshooter in SSP and just made B class in Production. I shoot a glock 34 in both. I much prefer USPSA though.
I've never had a Glock base pad break on me, but they have certainly taken some knocks. Nationals really is a good time, you should try to make it in the future. The stage design is always really fun and the S&W facility is incredible. I have not gone the past 2 but want to in 2018.
>>32527536
I had an aimpoint micro before you had an AR. It worked...that's the only positive thing I can say about it.
Actually, on my ugly green piece of shit I've had:
-Eotech 512
-Aimpoint H1
-Eotech EXPS 3 (bonus EOTech magnifier)
-PA micro
-Vortex 1-4
-ACOG TA01
-MRO
-Aimpoint M2
-Leupold VX-R Patrol
-Vortex strikefire
-Triji accupoint 1-4
My opinion is worth more than your autismo.
>>32527571

It's literally pointless if you have both eyes open like you're supposed to. You're lucky I've spent most of my bully fuel on Timmy The Inbred Mag Chucker in this thread already.
>>32527473
>>32527537
The PX4c I shot was a range rental with lots of mileage and, being a trigger snob, the trigger was quite good for a production gun. Recoil was very shockingly low for a compact 9mm because of the rotating barrel, less recoil than any other 9mm I've shot without a suppressor to weigh the front down. Very pleasant dakka.
Maybe you were thumbing the slide lock?
tl;dr I still want a PX4.

meh, it's a play on the "bikini holster". most kydex holsters just retain by the trigger guard anyways. I don't see the holster canting itself out of the holster while in the pants. I'm more concerned about the gay little clips that allow the holster to cant forwards and backwards in the first place. again, I don't think the gun will come out of the holster, but it's sure going to move around a bunch.

>>32528055
Cool so its probably an Iraq bring back. Heres a little more history for you
When a unit deploys that units funds are basically set to unlimited. With this units can buy tons of shit and its considered theater procured equipment. Usually with this equipment its signed over to the incoming unit or its just left in theater. After years in Iraq units just stopped signing for shit leaving thousands of shipping containers full of shit. Most shit was stupid but some containers had good shit. Ownership of these items was in limbo, the army bought them but no units were "missing" them because they had been handed over so many times that current ownership was unknown.
I had buddies who were some of the last units in Iraq that had to go through these massive ammounts of containers. The rules were weapons, nods, laser, thermal optics, radios and any sort of computer. With that regular optics got tossed to the way side and were going to be given to the iraqis. Dudes would then grab shit and put it in a unit specific shipping container that would be shipped state side.
You could fill a tough box full of what ever you wanted and put it in your company container and lock it up and send on its way. Once you redeployed and the container made it back home you could unload it, find your box and now you have everything that was inside of it.
A good friend of mine told me about opening one of these boxes up and found a black yard trash bag filled with aimpoints, eotechs, and acogs. He told his boss and was told to walk it over to the Iraqi Army HQ and just give it to them.

Haha holy shit. The amount of logistics and procurement/deployment/recovery waste involved in some of our wartime operations is staggering. I remember reading some facts years ago about the amount of money spent on the logistics end (that's what I do for a living as an analyst) and the amount of shit that is "disposed" of or gifted or outright left behind because the staggering cost of just bringing it back outweighed its usefulness.
It was pretty obvious by the amount of m952v flashlights, acogs and aimpoints that hit the second hand market dirt cheap that there was an abundance of "fell off the truck" specials, but didn't realize guys could fill boxes full of shit.
Appreicate the info though, good read. I bet some guys made a killing.

Please elaborate. It's got plenty of length to handle most things you would want to use a pistol for. It's not going to a match gun for shooting a quarter at 50 yards, but it carries its weight just fine for defensive (or offensive) purposes.
