>end of the thing we got to fight the "southerners" and the other class that had to do book work the whole time would stand in a field and we would maneuver around with 3 platoons and shoot at them

I didn't know at the time but this is so uncucked, i don't know if the teacher is allowed to do it today but having little kids march in formation with wooden guns that they made theirselves is such a good thing I hope my kids can do something similar

This is the only fun I have a picture of on my phone right now. Mauser that was arsenal converted to .308. It shoots pretty well. Today's fun story:

Both are awesome, can't go wrong with either.

Take the AK if you want to make bigger holes, live out vodka-fueled fantasies, and like shooting steel case ammo.

Take the AR if you want to have options in build/mods, build it yourself, shoot any serious distance between 200-600 yards, or shoot precision anything.

Both are great rifles, both are fun, both cost about the same in the long run,
