Almost any non-camo surp is fine. M65's, Dutch field jackets have a nice cut, or basically wool anything. Some leather stuff if you can find something you like for less than a bazillion dollars. Both the leather and OD german police jackets are nice.

Not trench coats, or anything long like thay. Those not only make you look gay but also a total creep.
>>
>>32466250
Yes silly goose, I know what the patterns are. I was wondering what cuts or items are they.

Maybe.

Here are some options. I personally like the dutch cut, but some people absolutely hate it.

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/201344973583

https://forcesuniformandkit.co.uk/collections/all-army-surplus-jackets-and-coats/products/austrian-army-surplus-alpine-combat-jacket

German moleskine stuff is nice too, but it's all personal preference. Didn't know if you wanted something more modern or kinda old styled, but if you like modern nearly all Austrian stuff is good looking, in nice OD or darker kakhi tones.

Surplus is surplus mate. Get's sold by the shipping container by the thousands of items to various countries, so there is always a reason for odd stuff to end up in even odder places.

I got my urban tracks from a seller in France, and my air force experimental tiger stripe ECWCS from a guy in Belarus, and I've seen loads of Taz90 for sale in eastern european countries.

Stuff moves around, but only the lord knows how.

Are there any good storage things you can hang in the closet that can hold maybe a few shirts? i do remember we used to have this hanging shelf basket thing made of canvas that only had holes big enough for shoes but something similar would be nice, or one way to reduce pressure is I can maybe take off multiple patterns on my closet and only have 1 of each pattern (excluding olive drab).

I'm not sure I can. That's all good stuff. The dress shirt is the only thing I would remove out of that lot, but that's just me.

Just don't be that guy from earlier that wanted to wear a beret in public.
>>
>>32475542
I only have so many Shekels. Which pieces should I actually buy multiples of?

Is varusteleka's stuff crappy and therefore you NEED to buy a few of each to get a good one? Or is it more like Ivan's where the shit is slightly overpriced, but his stock is accurately graded/sized so you can get away with buying one piece?

>>32475554
I'm hoping that the Finnish dress shirt will be OK for me to wear to work (office job).

Yeah. I bought a set of ERDL and a pair of 3rd pattern trousers. The labels are too big and on my jacket and pants the sewing isn't complete. The ERDL is too dark and not lime green enough. The pants waist size is advertised smaller than the real ones but are bigger than the real ones. The waist take up "tape" on the pants diddnt hold for shit, so I had to jury rig them. Pic related.

Stuff is nice but kinda dissatisfied since it's pretty expensive.

The buttons are more gray and thicker than originals too.

Well, as depressing as it is, drinking is a big thing down here in the south. Not even flavorful stuff either, just pain. It's not like it is on the TV, with moonshiners behind every tree in the woods, but it still gets made, and boy, is that stuff vile, it's basically just ethanol. We would usually just add half shots of it to a beer, and it becomes as potent as whiskey.

Also, is it true that lemonade is just an american thing? I heard "lemonade" is a carbonated beverage over there, like mist twist or sprite?

>>
>>32486439
Weird, man. Why would you carbonate it? It is just lemon, water, and sugar, right? But carbonated?

Also, have you ever tried iced tea?
>>
>>32486518
Why wouldn't you? My memory of "proper" lemonade is it's vastly more expensive and not as nice. It does sometimes appear in the summer, but our lemonade is much better for mixing with Pimm's. Do you have that over there?

Kind of, it was bottled and had instant diabetes levels of sugar in it though. I've never seen it on a cafe menu or anything so it;s anyone's guess if fresh stuff is available.
>>
>>32486563
We have something like it I think, but it's just sold as "carbonated lemon water" or something. It's alright, but the soda water is a little tart.

They sell it around here in some upscale grocers, like whole foods, but Primms is a little fruity for my taste. I can't stand fruit flavors in my alcohol, even if it's just a slight taste. Those flavored vodkas are the bane of my existance.

>fresh stuff
>make normal tea, usually from the cheap, unflavored lipton bags,(They sell "iced tea" tea bags over here, but the only difference is their size) brew until VERY strong, add sugar to your taste while hot, then dilute with cold water.
>let it cool in the fridge
>pour it over ice

Fresh.

You are missing the accompanying webbing belt for this set up. The rucksack hangs on the two hooks above the single strap, which then attaches to the back of the belt; while the double straps go over your shoulders and clip around the front of the belt.

This is the previous model of the famous mountain troops ruck, which was quickly discarded because of the antiquated webbing system, I have no idea where you will be able to locate a spare belt as the whole system is pretty rare but you should be able to use a normal belt as a crude imitation.

That would likely have been a new uniform issued prior to returning to CONUS. I'm still working off my stash of those. Comfortable and the pants make great shorts. They are referred to as "chocolate chip" camo and were standard pattern for Desert Shield/Storm but the 4404th patch makes it later.

Boots regularly (I have "Munson last" feet so why not?) along with Skedco rigger's belt. Cobra buckle is best ever for comfort, strength and fast shitting unimpeded by conventional bucklefuckery.

Goretex woodland parka in winter or field jacket with multiple liners sewn edge-to-edge. I did the liner trick before woodland camo M65s were issued and absolutely recommend it. Get your jacket a couple sizes large for comfort with the extra liners. I Scotchgarded my field jackets and left my Goretex at home because field jacket with three liners is much warmer. Dont' forget to Scotchgard the hood after unfurling it from the zipped collar.

Gray USAF scarf with ends sewed together was legal on flightline (it can't come off by accident) and much warmer than the conventional stupidity of tucking scarf ends into a collar which must be somewhat opened (self-defeating) for the purpose. I still ride with it over my civilian leather jacket. More motorcyclists should explore the joys of an endless scarf.

Poly thermals everyday in cold weather because comfy as fuck. Black poly top when in public to avoid milspec overdose. Goes well with bikie clothing. Brown or black at home.

Ugly green cowshit color Cold War era rainsuits are great for motorcycling. Windproof as fuck. Not a fashion statement.

Selling pic related for $200! WHAT A DEAL!!!
>>
>>32489875
Hey, you've ordered a lot of stuff from europe all at once before, right? How much was shipping.

For say, 8 M90 tanker jackets?
>>

>get all excited because it looks like CADPAT
>realize it's just Estonia trying to look relevant
meh
>>
>>32490136
Depends on the country and shipper. I've seen anywhere from $25 to 100

My guess is you'll be paying at least $50-$80 for that many.
>>
>>32490146
Bruh have you ever touched CADPAT? The quality is shit compared to most other uniforms. They are fucking comfy, though.
>>
>>32490199
Considering I did 3 years in the Canadian Infantry, yes. I will admit the quality of the uniforms is shit tier but the pattern is great. It's a shame the entire uniform fades so quickly.
>>
>>32490233
>the quality is shit tier
Well at least we agree on that. And I agree the pattern is great, but I also like estpat. That might be because of it's rarity, though.

I've been meaning to do a side-by-side of the two to more accurately portray their similarities.

update on the urban tracks situation, sorry i've been busy

I called the store and talked to some retard who sent me photos of the wrong thing and then they closed

my source is going there tomorrow and he's gonna text me photos, and i'll tell him whether or not to buy.

Hey, you wouldnt happen to know why the S&T75 tape was on that latvian zemessardze woodland shirt you sold me, would you? It's some commercial clothing company that puts it on all their jackets, seems like the guy took it off one of their coats and sewed it onto the bdu.

Last surp buy of 2016, got it for a friend who needs a new jacket, I pretty much got all my friends military jackets for christmas because they're easy to find and cheap. Still waiting for that v tower package though. Also I been seeing those SARMA jackets on V tower, are they good quality? I was thinking about buying one soonish

Also all their stuff is a little waterproof naturally, but I did test one of their unlined smocks in a summer downpour we had last year and it did get soaked through. I don't actually have any of their lined waterpoof smocks, but their rainshield has proven to be 100% waterproof. Snazzy green too.

With the weather how it is now, I usually go with a thick fleece or a jumper. Something with elasticated cuffs is a good match as their wrist closures don't go that tight. Warmer weather you can put them over an undershirt and you should be alright. The smocks do do that annoying thing where you can;t get the hood up without undoing the zip first though which never ceases to be irritating.

If it's in shit condition, we take it back but sometimes its easier to fix it yourself. Like re-sewing the nameplate back on or fixing a rip. It will get taken out of circulation if it's completely fucked. I'm navy so everything I got was brand new, and even better we're getting the new navy combats sometime this year. It's the same as the current cadpat design but all black. My job is mostly field thought so I'm in green most of the time
