Barrel length doesn't matter. Gas system does.

For a rifle gas system and a carbine stock, you use an H2 buffer like the Canuckian army.

That's where my knowledge ends.

Is there a good guide on for an overview of what you should consider as a prospective AR buyer? I currently own a few guns but it's all slavshit and there are so many AR brands and then there's the do you buy it prebuilt or do you buy a lower... etc.

It's the most refined, proven, reliable, accurate 5.56 round fielded, whose excellent ballistic characteristics we benefit from as well. A TAP is fine too. Mark 262 Mod 1 leapfrogged TAP, but TAP T2 is roughly equivalent in performance. The 6(x) grain TAP is SHIT.

But like I said the other day, virtually any 7(x) grain load from a quality manufacturer is excellent.
