a quality stainless barrel will be more accurate than a chrome lined barrel but thats not to say you cant shoot superb groups with something chromed. stainless also weighs more and is softer so it will wear out quicker and requires more care when cleaning as not to damage the rifling.

I have the smooth and the notched straight latches. The angle when they're open is greater than 90deg, so you have to push towards the middle of the handle while pulling back which is inefficiency for no reason.
It also causes more wear on your parts and increases the chance of your hand sliding off.
The BCM, AXTS, etc have an angle less than 90deg when open, so you only have to use one finger and can pull straight back

The sealant does offer moisture barrier, but the staked primers are primarily and specifically to keep from blowing them out of the case and jamming the action. A staked primer will perforate (which isn't good for the bolt face and firing pin but won't lock up the gun) but not eject from the case in the event of a significantly overpressure round.

There's also significant debate on whether sealing the primer actually does fuck-all, the standard, non-crimped, interference fit the primer has into the pocket has been shown to be Kroil-proof for 2 weeks straight, and the seal between bullet and case mouth is usually where moisture intrudes anyway due to the cannelure.
