It's also cool that it was rebarreled by the same manufacturer as your receiver. Mine's a SA 1945 rebarreled in 1956.

Yours was likely used in WWII if it was rebarreled during the Korean conflict. If it were reissued for Korea it would've seen the armorer before 1950 or after '53.

Taking the covers off is retarded. The rear cover is clear and the front can be left down to give the dot excellent contrast against even the brightest backdrop if you correctly shooting with both eyes open.

Apparently the fakes rotate freely in a circle and will switch direct from max to off and back. The real ones stop at max/off and don't move. The fakes will also have like to levels of brightness.
