Can't tell if it's painted or not. Did you sell a counterfeit? The only positive ID I can get for it being an M4S is that the cover has the raised letters molded in, and thetc battery compartment is in the right place.

I was also looking at these PROs + QRP2 for <$300. This is supposedly their worst condition unit out of a pool of units they had for sale used. If it's all cosmetic, I don't think it's a bad price.
