Anyone know of a great backpack, I have one of these right now and it kind of sucks.
eberlestock if you have the money

What are you going to use it for?
>>31731336
damn these are legit!
>>31731349
a bug out bag, decent capacity but not to the point where it would weight me down.
>>31731295
what is your price range?
These are cheap ass and quite okay. But if you got the money get a Berghaus, those are pretty nice.
>>31731390
100 is as high as I will go, I'm not sure if thats way too low? but that style is my favorite
>>31731403
100 is way to low for a proper rucksack with a decent capacity and and good ergonomics. If you want padded straps and back and a frame, you have to go to 100-200 at least, but if you just want a BOB you don't use for hiking every week or two and don't want to carry it for a few days you could get around with less.
The first thing is to decide what you want and what you need, then what you want to spend and how long you want your investment to last. When you know what you want we can give you proper advices, although this is more a thread for >>>/out/

>it kind of sucks.
whaddaya mean?
I have that exact pack, for like 10 years. It's fine. What's your problem?
>>31731390
This pack is amazing. i bought a used one 10 years ago and its still in perfect working order. no holes, no tears, no broken buckles.
>>31733261
The one I got issued is from the '70s I use it on duty and for everything else. As long as you put something sturdy like our sleeping pad in the inner pocket it is very comfortable also waterproof and completely indestructible.
>>31733236
it just feels awkward on my back and sometimes I think the straps wont hold up all the weight in it
Also post your packs
I use a large Alice pack, I've been looking at the Ozarks trail 50 liter packs.
I've been thinking of buying one and using it for camping, and if its good buying a second one as a BOB. I've heard they last a year or two of heavy use, and for less than 80 its not a bad deal.

Berghaus cyclops 2
you get 2 detachable side packs a 20l. and a 80l main pack ... they're mad comfy and relatively cheap when bought used.
https://www.asmc.de/berghaus
the quick open latch in the front is awesome to drop the thing quickly... has a lot of pockets and seperation layers.
also insanely adjustable so you can hike long distances and change pressure on your body on the go
>>31733760
sorry 10l side bags
>>31731390
Love mine. Wear it to work every day.
>>31731295
Let me go ahead and clue you in on 80+Liter backpacks.
They're fuckhuge unweildy, heavy and mostly useless.
For Bug-Out, yes they might be good but that's the only time you're going to use one. For every other porpoise, you need something much smaller.
Start with a 40 then work your way up. I have a 50 that I barely use because it is still too large. It has become a travel bag for the most part.

Way type of bag is this?
Goruck
Op here Got banned. In mobile. Thanks for the suggestions. Of anyone is wondering the bag I have is a NATO fox bag
>>31731336

Look at Mystery Ranch, Sitka, or Badlands. All should be available in solid colors or fuddcamo.

Mostly this is true, in that 85L is excessive for most users.
However if you buy a well-designed pack it will cinch down a TON so you're not necessarily humping around an enormous loose bag with garbage distribution.
I work on a backcountry trail crew innawilderness so I'm living out of a pack usually 9-10 days at a time.
This is my pack: https://www.rei.com/product/844652/rei-xt-85-pack
It shrinks up a TON if you need it to, to the point where it can comfortably be used as a day pack if it needs to, all the way up to the full 85L capacity.
Otoh I had a 60L pack for years that was completely adequate until I got this job.
