Regular .22 LR, except for really high power stuff like Velocitor, runs out of pop after about 16" of barrel and starts losing velocity inside the barrel. So you're shooting heavy .22 caliber bullets at ~1000 FPS out of a barrel long enough to start slowing projectiles, only now you also have a full size gas hole for all the exhaust to vent through once the bullet passes it, slowing bullets even further. Yeah, it's no wonder you got 2 squibs. You're lucky they weren't all squibs.

Anyone have an insight into detachable carry handles? I really want to get one, but I seem to have run into a few issues.

1. Almost no one has them in stock. Are they not really being made anymore? Are they just being scooped up as cheapish gifts for AR enthusiasts?

2. Why does it seem like you can either buy a $20 chink carry handle, or a $100+ US made carry handle? Does quality actually matter that much for this part? I think I'll probably go with the one from Aero Precision, I like the way it looks and it sounds like it's high quality. On the other hand, would a $20 chink one work just fine? I'm not expecting to get amazing accuracy, but I don't want to buy one that'll strip out when I first tighten it down.
