I shoot suppressed ALOT. I have had carbon goo build up on the reset seer enough to make the trigger hang up and not reset properly. I have had to take it out of the rifle and clean all surfaces twice since owning it and re apply geissele goo. Only issue I have had so far.

Anon from last night with stripped screws reporting in. My effort to loctite screws into the screws (yo dawg) failed, so I went to plan B and just battered the FSB off the barrel with a hammer.

Faux-M4gery HD build is almost there, I just need a set of carbine handguards from somewhere, preferably for dirt cheap.

I feel it. I have no real reason other than 14.5" looks better and feels better and having a 16" barrel on a budget HD gun makes more sense than using either of my current ARs for that. 16" makes more sense if I'm trying to save money or keep future options open. 14.5" is more aesthetic though.

I was kinda lurking through the older AR general about charging handles. So are Raptor charging handles good or not? And what are some good to go CH's?

I was looking at the LWRC ambi charging handle as they had large pivot pins but then I saw a thread on another forum where the front went snapped off the gas key from normal use.

It's a pretty decent deal. Their barrels are meh but far from shit, the quad rail is upper-third on quality (if quad rails are your thing), the upper and lower are milspec so nothing special.

If you want a complete rifle for $550ish and can stomach the rollmark go for it.

Okay so I'm at 66-75% of the use you had before yours "wore out" and mine still looks brand the fuck new. There's NO visible wear on it other than some anodizing thinning on the top where it rubs in the receiver. The claw is still crisp and fully anodized and it's not chewing into the receiver either.

This is a complete lie, I brought up the fact that the Raptor was hitting me in the nose and unlatching while firing, then I began to modify it and post pics of the modifications.
I thought it was the offer that was the problem, so I modified the the hook on the lodge itself so that it would grab better. The problem is, it's not the actual offer or the lodge itself, but the geometry of the handle and it's fulcrum.

Again, if it wasn't for the fact that the Raptor failed, I would be praising it to this very day and saying how much better it is then the BCM or any other charging handle.
