Here is your (You). Remember there is more than a single version of the Shield, including CA/MA compliant models that are only sold there.

full size zero drag pistol when

If I could buy a shield here in Cali without the safety and do a trigger job on it, I would try it out, Its slimmer than my glock but I dont know if it would really make much of a difference when carrying.

Full size, plastic 9mm guns are probably worst choice for civilian carry.

Low weight makes mag dumping harder than it should be.

All three alternatives are better:

>revolver for people that can aim
>steel frames for people that want to mag dump 9mm
>.380 compacts for people that want to go light and still mag dump
>>
>>31533027
Probably not, grip length is more important than anything when it come to concealed carry because it's the thing that will stick out and print. When you're comparing Glocks and M&P's it's all down to user preference of ergos, because they are pretty much equal on nearly all levels.

Only downsize is that it's 9mm and not .45 or .40.

Do they make higher caliber models?

>lol look at me boyz. I'm a girl on the internet
I don't get that part, unless you are you are implying that I'm a gril
>>
>>31533400
To be fair, in an altercation where you have to mag dump, you aren't going to be worried about how much it hurts/kicks, and you aren't going to be accurate enough with a 1.5inch barrel to hit anything past 25 feet away repeatedly. You will probably be backpedaling too.
>>
>>31532506
Hahaha
>looks again
>not universally accepted g19
Hahahahahaha
>>
>>31535003
It's not about pain, it's about putting as much holes in attacker as you can.

I propose you do a little experiment.

Rent a .380 (or bring your own) and magdump target at somewhere between 15 and 20 feet.
Measure how long it takes you and how many shots hit centre of mass .

Now take Glawck or something similar and do the same, but you have take same amount of time you took with .380.

Now Barreta 92 or something similar. Same procedure as above.

Which of the above will have most shots on centre of mass? Can you guess?
>>
>>31535322
You do realize on average most engagements are 7 yards and less? Do you know how short that is?

Also, are you talking full-size or CCW-size pistols?
>>
>>31535322
Honestly, if we are talking straight up I would say beretta 92 since glocks can be notoriously hard to aim w/ a short barrel and non-perfect grip setup.
>>
>>31533410

You said it yourself. Grip length matters and the glock 26 beats the M&P shield on that matter big time.

Then add 10+1 rounds. The glock 26 wins. You can also put 15, 17, and 33 round mags in it.
>>
>>31535629
>The glock 26 wins
Not in the comfort department. The 26 comes in at 1.2" thick, the Shield coming in at .9" thick. Those who think it doesn't make a difference either
A) Do not own a single stack to compare to their double stack
B) Are lying through their teeth

This comes from a Glock 19 and Shield owner.

I think I'm going to get a dawson fiber optic front and a rubber talon grip then call it done. Just came back from the range shooting 300 rounds through it and it's 10/10
>>
>>31535759
One seems to be an opinion due to a person's size, while the other is a fact. My hands fit the glock personally. And I don't feel much of a difference what's inside my waistband since its all pretty much the same size.

What I do feel is the extra ammunition and concealability

I mag dump my .40 just fine, stop being a pussy. The real test is go to an indoor range, put a paper target out, and push the call button. Once it passes the 25 yard line, draw and start firing. You'll notice how hard it is to get out more than 3-4 shots with literally any gun before they're basically right on top of you. The fact you can back away while drawing and shooting makes a bit of difference in the real world, but realistically if someone is coming at you, it's hard to draw and fire before they're on you. Once they're literally on top of you, if you have your gun in their gut you're basically good to mag dump any kind of gun.
