I have one. The triangle is what I love about it. I have astigmatism and for some reason the triangle is perfectly defined for me, wheras dots look oval and slanted. I also like the purpose of the triangle and I think it works very well.

On to the bad though. The dot can be very faint in certain lighting circumstances and most of the time, modern red dots (this isn't a modern sight) will always be brighter. It's brightness is uncontrollable by you, and is entirely reliant on your surroundings at the time, it even comes with a device to attach on the lense to help combat the issue. With that said, it's never really been much of an issue for me. Another thing I will mention is Trijicon's QC (yes I said that). Many of these sights come with cracks on the glass part that takes in light to illuminate the reticle. I've read numerous cases of this, and even mine has a very small crack on it. Trijicon's response is basically 'I wouldn't worry about it, it won't affect the sight'. So if you buy one, inspect that part of it, and consider whether or not that bothers you. Another thing to consider is the cost of the mount. I use the A.R.M.S throw mount. It's pricey.

There are many cheaper red dots that I personally believe are better than this, particularly nowadays. The thing really feels outdated for it's price.

In any case, I personally love it. But there are some things you need to consider. I'd fuck around with one in person before you buy.

Anyone know a good match set for 7.62x39? I already own a nice AR and an AK, but I want to experiment since I love 7.62x39.

Radical Firearms' looks the most appealing to me, that HERA upper on Atlantic is nice too. I'd go for the hybrids but I hear they can't actually clear the mags and end up getting locked up.

556xi would be nice, but @ 1500 its basically 3x the cost of the Radical set and has less replaceable parts.

I have the 1-6x with the ASCC on my 16". I like it. I don't use the illumination often, but it lights up well. The reticle is easy to pick up and use from close to long distance since you can surround the target with the outer ring and line the shot up with the center dot.

If you don't mind a reticle that's different from the usual cross hair, I'd recommend it.
