What's in your bug out bag?
>most overlooked
medicine, lotion, high quality flashlight
>most overrated
lots of ammo but few magazines, iodine tablets
How many magazines is "few"?
Basic shit
Glock 19, 9mm ammo, Hatchet w/fire starter, KaBar, first aid kit w/general medication, safety glasses, waterproof backpack cover.
My glock needs night sights and a flashlight to be practical for SHTF/bug-out though.

My glock needs night sights and a flashlight to be practical for EDC.
fixed. The vast majority of shootings happen at night.

I can agree with that

>flashlight on a ccw
Nigga pls

I don't plan on carrying the 19 or much longer, I'm looking to downsize for comfort. I'll take the risk of less ammo for the comfort of a Shield w/8 round magazine and a spare.
I'm only going to put night sights on the Shield, no light.

I did not say on the ccw, although my 34 has one. Having one on your person is enough.

I'm 5'10 and although I love my 19 I can't CC it. On work days I carry 43 with two mags and personal days the 26 with one.

I'm 5'9 180lbs, slight gut and love handles/whatever you want to call them. I can carry a 19 fine for a few hours but not much longer than that. My sciatic nerve starts to become bothered.
I was debating a 43 but liked the idea of the Shield for two reasons. 1) Price 2) 7-8 rounds from the factory vs. magazine extensions for the 43

sounds reasonable to me. I went with 43 because I'm a glock guy and that's all I buy. I have found that talon grip and extended mag are essential for my carry comfort. Try a MIC style holster, smallest and most effective holster style around IMO.
Im making a cheap winter bugout bag, wtf do I need? Total noob here
