I've got about 1.5k through mine. Just finished up its third box of 500 this month.

Mines running just fine. She eats just about whatever I give it. I've had 0 failures to speak of so far.

I did have one issue, I was getting a face full of gas after I put the FF rail on. Turns out I added a slight bend to my gas line when I took it off. Not a big issue, caused by operator error, and fixed in like 10 minutes (I got a new line for it).

Haha, yeah. One of my buddies guns is pretty picky when it comes to food. Mines a fuckin champ. I do have a list of things I want to change, but its working just fine ATM.

What's the best legal way for a person under 21 to obtain a stripped lower? There aren't any listings on armslist locally and I don't really want to wait multiple months fora gun show because I have everything besides the lower. I'm seriously considering getting polymer %80 and milling it out with a dremel.

Anything DW made for the 15-2 is pretty based.

I haven't found a good pair of aesthetic rubber grips for it yet, it really needs it if you don't want fuck huge grips.

I actually saw a new production DW revolver last week. The stainless loowed like shit imo.

I will be getting a custom holster for it, but I dunno about that 12" barrel, it's kinda ridiculous. I like the 8" EWK I bought for it.

Fun fact, I bought EWK barrels for a Dan Wesson two years ago. When they still made them.

>>31022846
To be fair, Colt made some decent barrels. Not saying they didn't go out of cylinder timing when you sneezed on them, but still.

I do like barrel changing on a whim. Literally 5 minutes and you go from "8 to "2 with no effort.

Why are DW revolver so obscure?
>>
>>31022860
Idc about the new ones.

At the gun show I bought my lowers at, I saw a DW 1911 and fucking Christ it was perfect. $1,100 IIRC (probably not correct) and I was honestly 10 seconds from buying it. Very nice

>>31022866

The TA31ECOS doesn't really fit with that, I know it's the new SU-237 PVS but the TA01ECOS probably would have been more accurate.

I think it'd look good with a T1, it'd also be lighter. I just think that magnification would be better suited on my 16" with free float rails and a geissele trigger than non-free float RAS and FSB. The ACOG is cool, but the eye relief really does kind of suck.

My poodle shooter. Been thinking about ditching 5.56 all together and picking up a Daniel Defense DDV5 in .308 and never looking back. No, I don't want a SCAR, though I'm sure it's objectively better weapon, I've shot them before and I just don't like them. Completely subjective. Thoughts?

If it doesn't ship by tomorrow, I'll call LaRue and see what they say. If they have no real idea when they will ship I'll order from Jestice.

Not going to lie though, Jestice's website looks like shit which makes me think it's sketch and should avoid using them. Have you ordered through them before?
>>
>>31026264
Hard to explain, but I'm tired of having a shit load of different guns in a bunch of different calibers. I just want one rifle and caliber that can handle a lot of different scenerios to invest in, and to really train with and become proficient with.

I'm not the guy looking to cash in his AR for a .308.

He specifically said that he wants one rifle and caliber that can handle a lot of different scenarios.
>AR in 5.56

He also mentioned wanting to really train with it and become proficient with it.
>AR in 5.56

If he wants an all around rifle that he can train with, 5.56 beats .308 for most purposes and for the cost of training and reaching proficiency if one were to only own one caliber.
>>
>>31026471

yeah i already have black type 2's on there.
>>
>>31026491

Alright, I got two different guys mixed up. 5.56 is great all around caliber.
>>
>>31026491
I'd agree with you most of the time, except I'm looking to train out past 600 yards and, as I mentiobed, take game bigger than whitetail on occasion.
>>
>>31026518
Okay.... So get both. Don't get rid of your AR to get a .308 ya dummy. Buy a bolt action for now if you have to if you're only looking to hunt occasionally.
>>
>>31026528
Do you see any value in the one rifle approach? If not explain
>>
>>31026465
Why is your front sight on backwards
>>
>>31026565
No, the AR is going to have far more uses with less recoil and you'll be able to train and become proficient with it for half the cost or train twice as much as you would be able to with .308.

You have an AR, don't get rid of it. Buy a .308 too. Start setting money aside or invest in a decent bolt action.

Anon, go buy a new upper chambered in 6.5 grendel. Poof, now you can use two calibers on the same lower and not have to buy two rifles. It will also kill most game on this continent.

It's that simple.

Or you can buy any number of other caliber barrels and bolts and just swap out when you need them.

Go to google, come back when you are learnt.

You should tell him to buy a used bridgeport knee mill for like $1,500. Absolutely the best value as far as machinery goes, is buying used.

Used equipment salesmen are mostly old people and machine shop owners, they aren't typically tech savvy so it's hard to find online listings for used equipment. Might have to call local machine shops and ask around.

Reward will be tool room tier machinery that is likely 70+ years old and still accurate enough.

His family does tools as a profession so I think he's already lined up. Cousin of mine did mention to check out auctions and such. Thanks senpai
>>
>>31028188
NO.

That was a local company that had some seriously shady business practices. ATF got involved and now there's a lot of people who got screwed to the tune of $900k or so.

Lowers were machined in house, and not machined correctly. Mags dont always fit, buffer detent well isnt drilled straight, and a host of other bad deals.

I'm surprised these are still in circulation. Where did you buy it?

How hard is it to get an anderson upper? Fucking everything on their site is out of stock

complete or stripped? Why anderson over someone else? PSA, BCM, etc.
>>
>>31028333
I was hoping for complete. One of my buddies had an anderson kit and loved it. If didn't go with that, I'd get a PSA keymod upper kit and find a local stripped lower.
>>
>>31024858

Ill buy the RMR off you.
>>
>>31028372

if your going A2 grips then PSA is no different, and always available. PSA keymod pretty good. Depending what you want it to be, might make sense to build as well.
>>
>>31028424
I just want a basic plinker/truck gun with a free float
>>
>>31028445

are you particular on rail? cost in mind?
>>
>>31028399
Okay for $1000
>>
>>31028502
Not particular on much desu. I'd like to keep the build under $800 and I'd like a free float. Aside from that I'm just hoping for a rifle I can put a bunch of rounds through with reasonable accuracy and not worry about too much. This would be a workhorse
>>
>>31028541

PSA complete lower or any stripped lower with a part kit. ALG rail, any stripped upper, ballistic advantage / faxxon barrel, aim bcg and bcm CH. should be about 800
>>
>>31028503

Id do $350.

Got rid of the big ol carry handle and mount and put on a brand new trijicon rail mount
Brought the sight closer to me and also lower.
>>
>>31028853
I'm skeptical and wouldn't try. I'd back out the set screw and either remove the KEK or flush it up to the castle nut before mortaring.
>>
>>31028842
No I'm dumber than that
Plus it'd probably be fine to mortar, worst case it'd slip or something

They can still be inherited and transferred. IMO personal ownership is the way to go now that CLEO sign-off de facto bans have been eliminated.

The thing for me is that now that there's not a a big, super obvious benefit to going through a trust, why bother doing a bunch of legal shit.
I'll just get printed and photo'd like I was for my carry and go with it

Who cares about that, the KEK is objectively superior
>>31028968
>>31028990
For every NFA item you own, deposit an amount into an interest-bearing account equal to whatever the transfer taxes would be.

If you don't care about keeping them in the family or don't have any inheritors then fuck it let the feds sort it out.
