I would like to become a naval aviator or airforce pilot, although i am also interested in enlisting in the EOD (which, correct me if im wrong, both the airforce and navy have). I've been offered a lot more hooah schools than that. When you're in a low-density MOS with an in-demand skillset, it's fairly easy to get slots for coolguy training. This is both because SOF units need competent support, and because most support guys have no interest in doing "tactical" training like Airborne, Air Assault, Ranger school, etc.

Airborne school, in 2016, is frankly a waste of time for the vast majority of personnel who attend it. It's cheap uniform candy, but largely mission irrelevant.

Modern submarines like 688's (hah) and Virginias are clean as a whistle for the most part, cause every watch section every 6 or 8 hours have to do a post watch clean up. I cleaned the crews mess a lot and gotten to eat the leftovers after sweeping and scrubbing the deck for 30 minutes.

You can do quick showers everyday if you really want, people aren't really keeping tabs on this, but showers, clothes washer and dryer might get secured for an extended period of time depending on the mission and the skipper. I usually just shower every other day cause submarine life is pretty sedentary, and being me, I didn't want to work out cause I wanted more time to work on my submarine qualification which if you didn't know, if you don't know about submarine operations or how they work and how to report and fight casualties people will look down on you cause you aren't capable of saving the boat in case of some SHTF situation. You're a sub-human non useful body (nub) til you get qualified submarines which could be a 6+ month ordeal.

Is there a polygraph required for an Army Intel enlistment? Ive read conflicting things believe it or not, and just want some real life knowledge, if you have it.

Also, what's the day-to-day like for a 35F mos? I know it's not terribly exciting, but the more I train for a Ranger or SF enlistment the more my body seems to tell me "come on dude, you want to be in a wheelchair at 35?". Prior low level back injury at 14, and both knees kinda funky around a year ago. I'm 26, running and lifting everyday. Halp guise

Depends on how bad your unit needs you riding a desk. There are absolutely desk jockies that are vital enough at that spot that the fight will go way up the chain (GO v. GO) and the SOF unit will lose.
