ITT: Only single shot weapons.

Is a Contender really worth it? I saw one at a gun show not too long ago and was really tempted to pick it up.
>>
>>30999032

Do you need/want a single shot target hunting pistol?

If you do, that's probably one of the best, most common choices.
>>
>>30999032
The Contender is a fun gun. Stupidly accurate just slower obviously. You can swap barrels super easy too and basically every caliber is/was made for it.

If you snag a pistol size barrel and have a rifle size stock, would it be considered a SBR?
I really want a "hit man" style weapon.
>>
>>30999953

I think the Contender has some weird exemption to the NFA, so you can put the stock on one.. I may be wrong.

Just checked G2's website.
Rifle barrels go to 23'
Pistol barrels have 12' minimum.
It's 16' for barrel length legality.

Stupid story

>My dad decides to buy a new gun
>Goes out and buys some off brand single shot break barrel 30-06.
>Buys $700 nikon scope that probably cost more than the rifle.
>shoots ok, extremely boring

Literally the most boring thing I have ever shot in my life. "you only get one shot" ... who gives a fuck.. half the time we are shooting its for fun and we dont do it that much anyways. I still dont understand. Almost done with school, im going to get some bad ass guns when im done.
>>
>>31000109
wow a 16 foot barrel

pics?
>>
>>31000398
half the fun of shooting guns is manipulating the controls.
when you're shooting a single shot gun you have to manipulate the controls a lot, and getting proficient enough at it to get a decent speed and rythm is pretty fun.

For black and white, no pun intended. At the time a lot of theaters and television was in transition to color. For black and white (and low quality in general) screens you needed a way to make the whites of the eyes really pop from the rest of the white skin.

With our new, crisp high definition color remasters and such, it's much more evident, and much more odd looking.
>>
>>31001812
Christ that thing is a piece of shit.

I've always wanted a muzzleloader, especially blunderbuss type one.

I'd have it mounted on the wall above a fireplace, alwas loaded with powder in the pan and a bunch of nails, ball bearings, legos and rocksalt packed in it so that by any off chance a proud POC decides to break into my house while I'm in my smoking jacket, just my smoking jacket, reading a book by the fireplace, I can rip it off the wall and spend the next 3 weeks scraping dindu off my floor/walls/insulation and doing drywall half blind from the flash of the powder going off in my face in low lighting.

Or I can miss and have to use t like a bat to beat him up, either way it'd make a great story

But if it's got a piston grip it's no longer a shoulder fired rifle.

So, 12ga, 00shot, pistol grip + 6" barrel ftw

>>31001896
Yeah, and that came from theatre makeup. You stick an actor on a stage, and their facial gestures disappear by the time you reach the seats in the back of the auditorium, so they'd do the makeup to exaggerate facial features and expressions. Even today, if you ever see stage actors just going on or coming off stage, you'll see their faces look grotesque close-up. Their mannerisms and movements were also exaggerated for visibility, which, when film came out, was a huge problem, since the cameras were so close, it was all captured, and up close, making everyone look like lunatics, so they needed to work out a whole new way to act for on-camera work, and the divide began of stage actors vs film actors. They basically had to raise an entire new generation of actors trained to be on camera and not stage. The years in between, and the crossovers, are why so many old movies have actors acting so corny they're almost unwatchable.
>>
>>31001483
How do they still hear the commands after the first firing?
>>
>>31001990

You're correct. This is what I was thinking of.

You can have to pistol barrels, and the stock, but not put them together.

Buddy has a contender and besides being a obsolete caliber I've never heard of its pure sex
>>
>>30999032
Ehhhhh. It's ok. It's annoying to break open every shot, but it's scarily accurate, and fires whack ass calibers that you more or less need to reload for, so it's a nice hobby gun.
>>
>>30999032
I've wanted one for awhile now.

They just look so god damn sexy.
>>
>>30999032
My dad has one that I use to shoot when I was a youngin.
It had some weird wildcat .243 which was neat.
Also has a 45lc/410 barrel.
Was great for truck window grousing.
>>
Just throwing this out there for anyone that doesn't know
>http://matchgrademachine.com/

They make Contender and Encore barrels in literally any caliber you want.
But most of all, they are reasonably priced.

>6.5" – 13" = $250
>13.125" – 15.875" = $300
>16.25" – 27" = $370

These stupid faggots will cut to any barrel length down to the .001s, and have a just absurd caliber list.

It's just fucking stupid
>>
>>31006468
Also, I heard they will make a chamber for any wildcat you send into them as well.
Not sure how true that is though.
