Oh, and for pokemon go, have two lineups ready. The first should be an intermediate lineup you're confident can beat the gym's first pokemon at 6-1. Then you get a look at their second pokemon. Build your varsity lineup off of that.

I also lead off with a normal tank and follow with a strong pokemon against whatever type I'm facing.

For example, Raticate first, then magnamite against flying. Most electric are weak HP but high firepower and advantaged over flying.

On note to the thread, pay attention to your surroundings. It's the first thing you see as the game loads. Also, playing and riding a bike is much safer since you ride around faster than running; but you gotta pay more attention to where you are heading.

I open carry a Beretta Px4 full size when I'm out walking after dark playing the game. I carry it crossdraw in an L2 retention holster at about 10 o'clock. I feel like it would be practically impossible for someone to come up behind and take it from me in this config, and anyone going for it from the front I could stiffarm and draw on. Plus it is more accessible when getting in and out of the car because the seatbelt doesnt buckle over the heel like it does in strongside carry, and a person approaching the car would not see it until I draw.

back to report my date went well, i set a couple of modules for us and we caught a few rare beasts. her parents even seemed to have fun. all in all a good night and we are meeting up at her house tomorrow for brunch and then her mom said we could play in the back yard.

ok so my sons grew up playing the card game, so just stands to reason they are going to play the game

my youngest goes to saint louis with me each week to help at the post office, i go up to the po store to deposit a check in the account , as he unloads on the dock, i get off the elevator and walk down the long marble hallway all i see 2 kids leaving that was playing the game, i go in and when i come back out there was a group of 5 males 50ish years old in dress shirts standing in a circle, i leaned over looked their screen and said "pokemon" they all replied and laughed, one said "there are a bunch of lures down there" and pointed to the far end

i figure i will tell my son so he can go up and catch a few, i get to the dock and he was nowhere to be found, i knew what he was doing, i got done and texted him i was ready

he comes back gets in and i told him about the "lures" he said "i know im the one that set them " im laughing my butt off, as we drove out and around the front, there was 3 more older adult males playing , he says "i was their boss"


i get home to drop him off at his car, we eat breakfast before he leaves, i leave 20 later, then here comes a few kids down our cul-de-sac playing attracted to the lures he set


he was a master at the old game and won ever tournament he played, he currently took over 6 gyms at our local park , funny stuff

I was talking to a guy I work with about the game today. He plays, and I still don't really understand it.

"How do you play the game?" I asked

"Well, there are Pokémon on the map and you go find and catch them" he replied

"How do you catch them?"

"Well, you go to certain locations and you load up on balls. When you find the Pokémon, you throw a ball at him and knock him out, then you grab him"

"So, what do you do with them once you have them?"

"You go to 'gyms' and fight them against other people's Pokémon"


"So, the object of this game that everyone is playing is to hunt down, attack, and then capture these imaginary creatures....then force them to fight each other. It sounds like a cross between the Slave Trade and cockfighting"
