It's emerging that women commit domestic violence in roughly equal amounts as men, it's just that it is severely underreported, not unlike female on male sexual assault and rape.

Hm, I wonder if it's because young men in the late 90's early 2000's grew up being imprinted by society with the impossible expectation that they need to have achieved the American Dream of the 1950's by the time they reach their mid-20's; and everything in their life -- money, women, self-respect, hinges on this expectation; and that they grew up amidst two economic crashes in an education system that financially ruins them for decades to come.

Wow, it's almost like everything these young men were raised to believe actually destroyed them, and society provides no places to help or provide healthy outlet for their frustration and rage, resulting in a much higher suicide and incarceration rate for men; and maybe that these aren't the same pressures and expectations faced by women and/or society is structured in such a way it provides women with healthy outlets for their stresses.
