Except they painted them bright green, which in itself isn't a bad idea, but they blend right into the dirt from that distance, if you're not using a powered optic.

Aero is another good lower company, and supposedly the guys who make a lot of receivers for some high tag companies who rebrand them. MEGA is another good company, that if you are lucky, you might score a bare lower or upper so dirt cheap, because some poorfag is selling off their gear to fix their car or something.my ex's little brother got a MEGA monolithic upper with a barrel, and stripped lower for $400. he had to put everything together since it was all parts, but he loves it.

bought my father a mckay lower for fathers day. his birthday is also in a few weeks and I thought Id go ahead and pick up a big chunk of parts to go with it. I dont know what round he will want to use so Im going to leave the barrel and whatnot up to him. Im giving myself a [somewhat flexable] $300 budget to pick up all the pins and springs, furniture, trigger group (if I get him something better than standard) and possibly an upper and/or optics but I might leave that up to him as well depending upon how much cash I have left over.

I have some ideas in mind but I want to know what arg thinks. Also, this is his first non-fudd gun if that means anything.

There's nothing inherently wrong with magpul. It's an upgrade over standard issue and it's got a particular aesthetic.

My gf's ar has magpul furniture. She doesn't need anything more, so there's no point in putting hundreds worth of parts she won't use or appreciate on there. As long as your weapon fill the role that you intend it to fill, that's what counts. Not trip dildo's opinions of it.

Ok ARG I need some help. I am building two AR-15 one I completed fine the other one is giving me hell on the gas block install. I can't get the barrel stack pin to go into the gas block with out the whole gas block rotating. It is a Noveske low profile gas block for reference. Any suggestions thanks.

Yeah I have two identical Noveske barrels and gas blocks that I am using to build two rifles. One for myself and one for my father. My dad's rifle went fine but my gas block is impossible to fucking hanger in. I am going to the hardware store today and getting smaller pins to punch the OEM pin out and then put a hollow pin in its place. Fucking hell.
