I've been looking at an airshit rifle to use for fun that is similar to my rifle and the lVOA is like the only full length rail that you can get on any decently made airshit.

I am pretty happy with the rail on my actual rifle but if i build another one i might consider that rail for aesthetics

ok? that is not me nor do i look like him. you are comparing one natural feature that every guy has and implying that i am him. his facial is thinner and longer then mine, he has a fatter face then i do,his hair is longer and thinner then mine, we have different hair lines, i don't have a unibrow, i don't wear rings watches or denim jackets. I have light green eyes he has brown eyes.

so i only assume you are trying to make a reference. But i don't know or care who he is so it doesn't apply that way either.

are you going to do this in ever thread?

Footwear depends. I have a nice set of cowboy boots I wear around the farm but a lot of the time I operate in tennis shoes. I need a nice pair of hiking boots, probably Timbs or Danners.

Headwear is the shemaugh inside my jacket but I'm probably getting a boonie hat here just so I have an actual hat. I know ball caps are more opr8r tho.

Had an issue where it wouldn't get bright enough outside. The problem was the little rubber connector have a spring that connects the batteries to the sight and the spring had pushed too far in and wasn't connecting right. i'd say start with a kangroo pouch, there are ones made specficly for the mayflowe apc. Add a triple shingle depending on if you want 3 or 6 mags. Add a medical pouch if you plan on shooting while wearing it. You can add a radio if you just want one or if you have friends to talk to.

but with the mayflower you could also get a haley rig and clip it into the carrier.

Holy fuck.

If you get the Suregrip, you may want to get suspenders too. It won't slip down on you, but carrying that kind of load on your hips will chafe like a bitch if you move around for any more than 12 hours.
>>
>>30314250
I've got 20. . . I throw 4 on my UCR, 1 in each back pocket, 1 in the rifle, then 3 in the pack. I don't plan on ever needing 20, but it's nice to have when you occasionally go to a field and see 50+ hog eyes staring back at you. It's heavy, it sucks, and I dump the pack ASAP, but it still impresses guys twice my size that I carry that much on the regular. I consider myself pretty fit for being 6" 140lb. The swimming and running physique throw my friends off when I hump as much as they do and I keep scouting ahead while they stop for breaks.

Other than ammo, medical, small things that go into the admin pouch, and maybe communication. Is that the most basic simple things you'd want on the carrier?

Any suggestions on a slimmer battle belt? Ones that don't have the big padding?

you want water in some form for sure. I don't want a camel back attacked to my PC so i carry water in my backpack and when i get a battle belt i'm gonna have a pouch that can hold a water bottle or smoke/flash grenades from enola gaye.

>Any suggestions on a slimmer battle belt? Ones that don't have the big padding?

you can use just a ridged belt in your pants and use belt pouches. If you want the molle they make a half sized version of the suregrip called the slim grip. Hight threat concealment makes a system of ridged kydex pouches that velcro to a pants belt and hug your body really tight.

i have two extra mags on a ares gear belt. I'm going to get a suregrip battle belt later tho. I'm sure there are other brands i'm forgetting.

Either one with a Swedish LK35 pack with basic innawoods gear like food, water, additional first aid, dry clothes etc. The holster in the StG-58 pic is my current BHP holster; the one in the SLR-104 pic was an old K frame S&W holster that I used for a couple of months while my current one was being made and that worked well enough with the BHP.

65% of the time it's the SLR104 (now with an Obzor) over the StG-58, and every once in a while I'll bring my HK P30L instead of the Hi Power but mostly it's the Hi Power simply because I like it better, shoot it better, and it's a Cerakoted beater so I don't care if it gets dinged up.

Assault pack =/= bugout pack

If assault pack, extra ammo and cleaning kit, bandages, WATER, a knife, matches or a lighter, and some pictures of your loved ones.

If bugout, then hybridize it for camping, you wont need as much primary weapon ammo, in fact you might want to only have a handgun or PAP pistol. Go ultralight. >>>/out/ can help ya.

Judging by the layout of the rig, I'd say no. That's the rig meant for the R5 not the R1. The mags will fit doubled up, but they will be way too snug. I mean you could be an idiot and just put one in each, but then that's a waste of real estate and you're better off with a fucking 4 cell Rhodesian rig at that point.

The SADF did build a Pat 83 rig for the R1 but it's kinda rare.

>>is a service pistol really necessary?
It's not like you need a full-size, but I'm a huge advocate of backup weapons. The P938 is a great gun - I'd pack it
>>How many magazines do I really need?
As many as possible, but realistically everybody's on some kinda budget. Are the 3+1 mags pictured all you have? I'll say it's a good start. I'd rather have the ammo to fill my mags (and then some) then a bunch of mags I can't even fill

>what should I really pack?
A first-aid kit
Water purification tablets
A cleaning kit
a poncho, or at least trash bags
these kinds of things could probably go in an assault pack instead of all on your chest rig, but it's just food for thought

>>30315988
You've got the right idea man. just be patient and let it air dry between soakings, and don't be afraid to hose it out to wash away excess dye (I recommend against washing it in a machine before you're pretty sure it's done bleeding)

it does happen to be a convenient way to carry ammo. They're also 'tactical weight vests' for those who wear them during exercise.
Most battle belts would be worn over your belt loops, which could accommodate another belt, yes.

Should probably have said "sucked" or "thrown", but yeah, the aluminum attachment points or double-sewn loops on these type of belts are meant to attach an aircraft retention lanyard to personnel who don't have an aircrew harness.

The idea came about after an ODA last a guy innawoods because their Littlebird grazed a tree and he fell through the canopy.

Yeah there are two ranges Olympia Bend Plantation in Valdosta which is the best, owner is awesome, range goes out to 500 yards, they have nice skeet and clay ranges, and a pretty nice pistol range. I actually took one of your Brunswick boys to it a few weeks ago. Then there is Southwind which I personally haven't been to, but i have heard its alright.
>>
>>30320025
I've only lived here about 3 years. Not a whole lot of time to get into shooting groups or find places that I can shoot at range. Longest I can take a shot right now is about 200yds. Actually just rezeroed my CETMEs scope to 30yds, because we just put a stand in a better spot but the brush is so thick that 50yds will probably be my new maximum shot distance.

Any critique as far function goes (pouch placement, number of pouches, etc.)? I didn't put that much thought into it. I know I have like three different shades of so-called "Coyote Brown". The pouches on the carrier are for double stacking vz-58 mags, though you can also triple stack PMags. I swap them out with the pouches on the left for my AR to keep a lower profile. They also fit nicely into the kangaroo pouch if I single stack. The single mag pouch on the cummerbund can hold one of any mag, or two PMags if I really push. With the double stack Taco, I can hold a total of 9 vz-58 mags or 13 PMags. The pistol mag pouch allows for the standard 2+1.

All I'd recommend is removing as many buckles and metal parts as you can. Chlorine bleach can oxidize them I'm pretty sure.

If you want to keep the UCP pattern's undertones you could skip the bleaching and just dye it. I think there's an example of this earlier in the thread, but it may have been in the previous one...
