That's rough. I would have wanted the rear one the most. I use my VFG to shoot thumb break. The handstop up front was intended to be a barrier stop primarily, keeping my hand on the rail secondary.

For the money its truly excellent
its a x3, and for <100 yds/run&gun the reticle is great for target acquisition. I've used it past 300 and it was fine but i'd really prefer a simple crosshair.
also if you're wearing sunglasses, you gotta crank the illumination to 10-11, but thats been a non-issue so far.
and I recommend buying an american defence qdm

overall, i'd definitely recommend it as quality glass for ballers on budgets

a lot of poeple use that cmmg kit- and it works well. if you want to save some more $, you could go with the phosphate finish kit, but cleaning will be a bit more time consuming.
i realize you said youre on budget, but for another $100, another option is the S&W M&P 15-22. its a really nice, albeit light and plastic-y, rifle that a lot of people enjoy. plus it looks cooler than a stock 10/22
