so I got a slant muzzle brake for my wasr and noticed that when I tighten it all the way, its not at the right angle. if I leave it to where it locks into place with the plunger, it rattles a lot. Is this an issue?

I've got a .30 caliber ammo can full of "Red Army Standard," and a sealed full case of Ulyanovsk 124gr hollowpoints in boxes marked "Wolf Military Classic," supposedly 8M3, but it's impossible to know without testing several rounds or disassembling the cartridges then sectioning the bullets to check for the internal jacket grooves that distinguish real 8M3 from all the "hollowpoints" that don't expand.

Goddamnit. Can't the Russians make a 7.62x39mm hollowpoint round with a pure copper jacket, with as thin a jacket as possible and the deepest, widest cavity they can manufacture consistently? That wouldn't require any exotic manufacturing technology and for expanding bullets copper jackets seem more consistent and better performing than copper washed steel.

In an interview, don't recall where I saw it, Arsenal had said they'd be bringing back the CR line in the other calibers, but they didn't say when.

Probably the single most efficient brake is going to be one of the AK74 types. The Tantal brake may be even more effective due to having greater volume in its primary expansion chamber (this is a result of its being longer, by reason of having been designed as a grenade launching device as well as a muzzle brake), but I have heard contradictory claims on whether the Tantal brake can accept 7.62x39mm ammo fired through it.

Possibly some other brakes with lots of baffles may reduce recoil even more, and there are some truly enormous and goofy-looking brakes out there.

But remember, the more blast it reflects back at you and reflects to the sides, the louder and more obnoxious it's going to be for everyone else at the range. And it's only 7.62x39mm. It's not like it's painful or difficult to shoot, even with no muzzle device at all.
