Any tips anon? I write out the 20 new ones per day, come up with mnemonics for the ones i struggle with and say them all aloud when doing them. If i get the prounciation or meaning wrong or completely blank on a card i click the again (<1min/<10 min for old cards) and have to start from the start of the cycle which ive set to be 1 10 20

Wiktionary lists the separate 音読み by category.
But 呉, 漢 and 唐 don't actually refer to the dynasty they came from.
呉音 comes from the Southern Dynasty during the Northern and Southern dynasties period. 漢音 comes from Tang. 唐音 comes from the Song.

Meaning that sometime in the past he had logged in and it was syncing up to a point where he made it to 60 cards... and then, still in the past, he stopped logging in yet continued to do cards on his desktop, so now he's at some unknown number of cards past the 60 that he mentioned. Fast forward to today. Anon gets his new laptop and logs into Ankiweb only to find that it only synced the first 60 words into core6k so he is upset that he lost all of his progress from that point of having studied 60 words... but we don't know how many words that is.

Could someone help me understand what is going on in this sentence? I am 65 pages into Tae Kim's grammar guide, and I do not understand why this sentence is like it is.
学⽣じゃない⼈は、学校に⾏かない。
It means:
Person who is not student do not go to school.

My main problem is the first part, I more or less understand why the second part is like it is. In the first part, why does it start like it does? Is there a rule for this? I do not remember Tae Kim's Grammar Guide teaching me this earlier on, but it seems we are supposed to understand this by now.

If I look at it as it is, it is not hard to understand, but if I saw that sentence without a translation, I would almost certainly parse it is
'Student who is not person.'
Is there a reason why it is swiched around?

anyone can give me a recommendation on how to study similar kanjis? I'm using obenkyo on my phone and it's pretty decent but I feel like I'm relying to in the visual feedback it provides with the multiple answers quizzes. There are some kanjis that I'm pretty sure I could easily confuse for being vaguely similar like「夏着春有」. Should I just keep studying normally and with enough revision they will become more distinct to me or is this a bad practice and I should focus on way to remember each and everyone of them?

I'll still be adding scripts to the vnscripts neocities site when they're donated, but I don't have the motivation left to hunt down new games on my own. 25% of a "reasonable corpus" is almost enough.

I took a break for a while to see if the motivation came back, but it didn't. I'd rather keep reading VNs now. Figuring out how to rip scripts for all sorts of engines was all the fun and biggest motivation, but it's gotten tired.

In practice there are very few times you will mix up kanji while reading, due to context.

If I just saw 縁 on a T-shirt I might accidentally read it 緑, but if I saw it in 「何かの縁に違いない」 there's absolutely no way I would read it as 緑 and I'm confident you wouldn't either.

There is no secret; they're gradually and inevitably forgotten. Ideally, your deck should not have cards you only see in Anki, but as a beginner it can't be helped, and so your low retention can't be helped.

If they were taking that long reviewing vocabulary in Core2k/6k, then reading "actual Japanese" in that same time frame would have been vastly less useful. These are learners who are clearly at the very beginning of their studies, who would lack any sort of base for getting much of anything out of authentic texts.
The key is comprehensive input and they would be spending 99.9999% of their time looking everything up. That shit should be done alongside vocab reviews in Anki, not in place of it.

I've been studying Japanese for a few years now and I'm at a level where I can enjoy movies and anime with Japanese subtitles. Just audio and I'll get lost unless it's for ages 13/under.

any tricks to not confuse ソ and ン? I think of シ having with a curve in the middle of the letter S (for shi) so I won't confuse it with ツ, but for n and so I still get lost a little sometimes.

No idea. I was questioning its inclusion just because it makes sense for other peoples 仕事 to be お仕事 but not mine. As with everything. I left it in just because it seems like one of those words that's always beautified.

I didn't get the pitch accent right, I was slightly off in the meaning (as in didn't use the exact translation given by the card, although there is some slight wiggle room for that) or I got the reading wrong but everything else right.

I mean like if I were to pronounce 説 as せつ↑ (pitch accent is right) but were to read it like しつ or whatever then I got the accent right but the pronunciation wrong. And vice versa.

Obviously I try to get both right but getting the reading right has much higher priority than the pitch accent. If I read a word with the wrong accent wrong but the reading is right I'll forgive it if it's an uncommon word I'll likely not be using much at all, but if it's a word you can easily confuse for another one (even if you can tell from context what you really mean) if you get the accent wrong, like 橋 and
