Technically warmage, without penalty, makes your max casting chance 105%.
It's just it's hard capped at min 1% max 100%.

So just remove the penalty from 105% to know what you'll get. It's all additive, well, substractive.

Now that Akeno's attributes are capped it's time to see how painful getting AP for her will be. Time to start farming AP for bonus points. Don't think Kai will have to worry too much about her on the floors he normally trains on but we'll see. Might actually have to go deeper than floor 625 to get consistent AP gains for her since her INI is high.

Why would a Golem be the best in the long run? I've been immune to dim as a Eulderna for a very long time by having enough sound resist.I also have capped my life attribute with hero cheese. I understand a Golem can make a certain kind of play easier early in the game but I just don't see any race being a clear choice as best long run. So play whatever you're comfortable with.

Does the acid thing work in the more recent versions of Elona+ ? I remember some anon said their was a limit to how damaged you can get a weapon. I never verified it myself since my character is a martial artist and you can't really acid your fists. I did alright by just finding an enemy with lots of HP that can heal or regenerate deep in the void to train my MA. Used the Sasumata to train tactics and figured the additional spear training would help my attributes out.

Well this sucks... HDD just up and croaks, and I end up losing more than 8 months worth of progress along with 4 themed spritesheets I just finished putting together. Sure I usually make some effort to regulatory back stuff up, but for some reason I just decided to sit on all of it, and typically end up procrastinating until its was already a forgone conclusion. So of the "it deals massive damage to X" enchantments, are the bonus vs. undead or bonus vs. dragons at all useful in the long haul? I know that massive damage vs. gods is obviously extremely good.

Also, is it worthwhile to raise a massive damage enchantment from #### to #####+ on a living weapon? Asking because I read that the magnitude of the enchantment actually matters post 1.43, but I can't find any concrete data on how much it actually does.

Well according to the wiki under equipment attributes it is always +50% damage. I don't know if that changed. If it's true though, then I don't think that is at all useful really. Too niche, for too little gain. Just get more bonus magic damage.

Harvesting my fields is a pain, got to make a stop in the wilderness to dump the trash every two or three farm due to full inventory.

They were very good to raise low skill to usable level in Elona, but in Elona+ with travelling training all skills automatically, there's not much use left for them anymore.

Well, unless you're anal about using in-game time as efficiently as possible then they beat travelling. But in real-time, travelling beats skill books where gaining skill exp is concerned every time.

Save scumming will be a thing of the past in the next version so I wonder how they will be later on for those that loved to stack lots of hands before South Tyris. Kind of makes me wonder why play a mutant when everyone has access to the doctor to go crazy with limbs but I digress.

Right now mutants play like they always have I think. They're alright if you're familiar with the game and understand slots and how attacks work. All the custom races are there for roleplaying. They're neat in that regards. Mechanics wise you're usually getting a lot of speed or something at the cost of something else so somehow it balances out. At least, that's for the decent extra races. Some of the extra races are just flat out bad. The default races are imo still the safe bet to play as. All the classes present are viable so feel free to play what you want.

Seven league boots are good for escort job board quests and stuff that requires you get somewhere fast on the over world. If you're not going to do much of that then you might want to wish for something else. Miromi for instance.

Should just need to make the proper replacements. I'm not familiar with the little sister's graphics pack but one thing you can check is to make sure that the graphics are in .bmp since that's what the game uses. If they're in png it won't work. Hopefully it came with a readme for installation steps.

Is the damage taken with barrier mitigated by PV and resists?

Man, 1.67 looks to be a game-changing update. Save-scumming stamped out, legit ways to lower INI, living weapons nerfed to hell, new currency, and a bunch of smaller changes alongside the typical new NPCs and special actions.

With the change that living weapons can't be used in AF anymore, are living weapons still worth it, or do the bonuses from artefact fusion surpass those of living weapons?

Finally ! Got the last two skills from the magic guild.
My game plan was to cast element shield, get in, get the skills, read a teleport scroll, read a scroll of escape, and wait until activation with more teleport if needed, all with a blindness and confusion resistant equipment.

I still lost half my health, and while it was tense with all those double turn he got on me ( speed spell still at 1% cast chance sadly, and too retarded/impatient to go find a potion of speed or ten ), it was without real danger.

Leold had an option not on the wiki under pet AI that was along the lines of "change attack to arrow magic," I assumed this would just make my imp mash stick to magic darts instead of throwing her staff of insanity. Instead she seems to be exclusively using nerve dart, which isn't even showing up as a skill she has if I look at possible actions with custom AI. It also seems to have taught her a bunch of ball spells, which kinda sucks since I just wanted her to use variable storm for multi-target.
I taught her tactical curse at the same time and she hasn't been debuffing much, though admittedly I'm just taking her for a spin in some level 40 shithole where she oneshots everything.
Is there any better documentation on that AP option? I'm sorta regretting it now, sorta.

Nevermind, dug through the changelog a bit and it apparently just replaces any physical attacks with a dart spell of their highest resistance.

Living weapons will still be worthwhile. They can be used to create resist gear that can fill resist holes. Almost all of my pets have living panties with lots of resists on them. Living weapons still can be good weapons too. Can fill it up with all sorts of elemental damage and if you can find a living weapon with time stop that would be great. They'll certainly be of use before you get access to artifact fusion.

Artifact fusion weaponry for me usually boiled down to adding magic damage, darkness bolt, remote blow, or absolute pierce. Depends on what I can fit on a weapon. Unfortunately most static artifacts don't have a lot of space left to fit stuff in. For this reason you want to have a godly weapon with almost nothing on it to take advantage of artifact fusion for a weapon. Ideal again would be a weapon with only time stop on it. I suppose it's easier to go all out on magic damage though so an artifact fusion weapon may edge out in being a bit better if you're in it for damage but you really need a blank weapon for that.

Farming hero cheese and magic fruit is a very late game thing.

One way to farm them is through turning in little sisters for that repeatable quest at the Cyber Dome. So that's an option.

I started farming hero cheese and magic fruit in mass at around lv 800 summon spirits with Kai. Needed around 1000 performer skill to get stars over their head using an instrument. You can throw love potions at them but you'll need a crazy amount of them if you're going to only rely on that. I just need a handful at my 1300ish performer skill since it's hard to impress all of the spirits. Make around 15 to 25k in tickets each party time depending on how many named NPCs show up.

Both methods will take a very long time to either farm or get to the level needed to farm adequately. Instead of getting hero cheese you might want to look into picking up barrier so he has a second life bar of sorts. Craft resist gear and maybe make it ruby.

Since no one answered it in the last thread, I can at least answer one half of that.
I don't know if jeweler provides any benefits, however, Alchemy does affect the power of any rods you may give a pet when they use them. I believe that it also allows them to zap rods from their stamina rather than from the rod's pool.
I tried it out earlier with the <Mad Scientist> and they seemed to be very proficient with any rods I gave them, and their alchemy was always rising when they were zapping away with it. Unfortunately, at least for the version i was playing, their pet AI would regularly forget they still had usable rods in their inventory, and I would often have to take the rod from them and return it to them before they'd start using them. A pet with a rod and alchemy is fairly powerful (I'd give them control magic as well if you give them any -bolt wands) but high maintenance, as compared to a pet that just knows actual spells.
If I had to guess what jewelery was for, perhaps it raises and affects how well they use scrolls, in addition to literacy. I can only assume that though as jewelery is used to craft your own scrolls.

Yeah,anything summoned from a mysterious dairy is nonthreatening or indifferent by default, even the five headed gods are cool with you as long as you don't piss 'em off. But even when provoked they'll just return back to their neutral states as soon as you leave and come back to the map or cast incognito, really no different from the neutrals at Jure festivals or party time quests. They also won't disappear after a while like monsters summoned using spells, and the best part is you can always dominate them whenever you feel like it. It just takes an eternity for the RNG to roll just the right ones your looking for though, summoning all those naked mass monsters took far longer than it should have.

Highest number of times I cheated in one game is 17 and I got away with it. Have a high chance of getting away with it but it's not 100 percent even with this high of dex. Kai managed to get a bunch of miracle or higher gear and lots of scrolls of faith, potions of potential, cure corruption, and business cards though.

At first I thought the same too, but summoned monsters are much harder to work with since they always remain hostile, and for some reason they always return to the exact same spot they spawned from no matter how many times you move them.

Also, from what I experienced, anything summoned through casting seems to have some sort of set time limit for how long they can remain within that area. I actually tried populating my house with summon spirits once, and after a certain amount of time they all just vanished. I got curious and conducted a test in one of my experimental save files, just to see the exact amount of time. It turns out after just one whole day—in-game time—only the hostile monsters vanished while one this one kiwi remained. So it seems when casting summon monsters or the wild animals spells in your house, only the creatures neutral by nature will remain permanently, until you kill them.

Mages become very powerful and versatile once you can reliably collect and read spellbooks. For the first few levels you'll have to rely on archery since even magic dart will deplete too fast at first.

1) Potential -> Teach pickpocket and do party time quests with share money until you can aford to give through evochat.

All the stuff that works in Act 1 should still be pretty good. Escort quests, cargo running, and selling food. Later on it's just combining multiple streams of money making to make millions of gold each day. At least that's what I'm doing with Kai ever since the dungeon boss gold nerf.

In my attempt to farm platinum I end up doing lots of dungeons and job board quests. I get a decent amount of gold from doing that but I also collect all the gear from the rewards and from dungeon floors. I then sell said stuff in my shops at markup. Material I harvest from dungeons get used to craft gear and what I don't keep also goes to my shops.

While I'm out dungeon diving and protecting the towns from a stray dungeon monster that wandered into town my farms are pumping out herbs, vegetables, and artifacts. Once they're ready to harvest, I store the herbs but I cook the produce and sell a lot of the artifacts in my shops or to town vendors.

From just selling stuff in my shops that I find in my travels and selling stuff from my farms I earn millions of gold each in game day. Got close to 40 million gold after about 3 to 5 in game days. If I was really going all out in gold I can easily make 100-200 million gold in 5 days.

I grab all skills. Then I single out skills that make my build. For me it was martial arts, tactics, eye of mind, casting, and literacy. I tend to only focus on two skills of my build for a certain amount of time. So early on it was martial arts and tactics. Would level it and keep only those potentials high through plat and the occasional bless growth scroll. After I got to a certain point like 100martial arts/100 tactics I switched my focus to casting and literacy. All other skills outside of my build I kind of ignored in keeping their potential high and just left sleeping and other stuff to maintain their potential. Traveling would level up those skills passively or I would get to them later in the game. For instance it wasn't until later on that I got serious about gardening. So for me it's just focusing on certain skills to build out and rotating as needed.

People seem to misunderstand how miromi works. The feat it grants and normal feats gained through levels are separate. You can use your first miromi at level 10 (or even earlier, I don't remember), while also getting a bonus feat at the same level. You don't need to wait for level 60 and your 13th feat before you start getting extra feats from miromi, you can do both at the same time.

Vanity doesn't appear after the first time he got voted out, so it's either Loyter, the Cleaner or Rilian for me. Had that bug happen to me a long time ago with one of my characters. It doesn't really do anything bad to your character and you should be able to play like normal despite the display error. If you ever manage to get it back in the positive range and post your character I'm sure you'll get people wondering how you got 500 stat character only one hour in the game or something like that though. Could be fun. Another reason why game time shouldn't be taken too seriously with people going afk for long periods of time while leaving the game open to people making genes and now this bug.

I think I retired Kai senior when he reached the MP cap of 20 million and he was somewhere in the lv 6k range. The game had changed in some interesting ways and I wanted to play the game with the new settings as a martial artist mage hybrid. I upped the ante by playing on Inferno mode to challenge myself and to inject some freshness into my grind.

Head cannon wise Kai senior retired due to the initial symptoms of Nefia syndrome appearing.

I don't know your charisma is alright. Dexterity is kinda meh though. Stick to doing your dentistry during the day and out in the open and you should be fine. Don't think you'll have much success in sneaking dentist work when someone isn't looking.
