Well I'm no critic but for your first EP it's okay.
Koritsu and Broken dolls sound poorly mixed it's just confusing to listen to can't really describe it.
Mass Paroxysm is the best track there for me.

There's no Vocaloid scene in existence (try and name 3 notable European producers) and they are already a few fanmade events anyways. Europe already got THE END opera, and that's that.

Europe doesn't make money and that's the truth.

>>16002494
I think it's fine talk about utaites here, since they're closely related to the vocaloid scene. Also Reol's voice sounds great.
>>
>>16005586
utaites are iffy, and then that's if and only if it's a cover of a vocaloid song.
if it's a nonvocaloid work, it has no business in a vocaloid thread. pretty simple. reol is not "vocaloid related"
>>
>>16005617
Reol wrote the lyrics for several popular vocaloid songs, and became famous within the vocaloid community for that and for her covers. She is vocaloid related.
>>
>>16005991
She's a has been. If she was writing Vocaloid lyrics now for a song published today, then she would be permitted. But she did lyric writing years ago and at this rate is slowly moving toward a debut career away from the Vocaloid scene

Now fuck off, 3DPD is disgusting and her fans are absolute cancer.
>>
>>16005991
when and if she makes a new vocaloid song, then it's vocaloid related. a song or album that has no vocaloid vocals on it is not vocaloid related.
this isn't a difficult concept. song has no vocaloid in it, it's not vocaloid related.
>>
>>16006010
lol "permitted"
honestly, since most people in this thread are familiar with utaite, it's not completely outrageous to talk about them here, and the same goes for utau and stuff
it's just like talking about the careers of vocaloid producers outside of the vocaloid scene, and reol is a well-known figure in the vocaloid community
why make other threads specifically for utaite or utau or cevio when really a lot of the same people are participating in these conversations. not everything we talk about in this thread has to be something everyone is interested in, like the sega games and certain genres of music. let's just talk about it all here, it's basically all one fanbase anyways
>>
>>16006229
>not everything we talk about in this thread has to be something everyone is interested in
no one is saying you can only discuss things everyone is interested, just that we keep it down to things related to vocaloid.
honestly, is it so much to ask that we keep the vocaloid thread related to vocaloid?
>>
>>16006010
>But she did lyric writing years ago
Two years isn't such a big time.
>at this rate is slowly moving toward a debut career away from the Vocaloid scene
That's just speculation. We don't know that for sure.

>>16006031
Reol, the same way as Giga, will always be "vocaloid related" since they are (were, maybe) vocaloid producers. If a song or album with no vocaloid vocals is made by a (ex) vocaloid producer, it has relation with the vocaloid scene, even if little.
Now, whether it is "related enough" to be posted here it's a subjective matter.

>>16006229
I agree with you. These vocaloid threads are slow anyway, it wouldn't hurt talk about utaites and such here.
>>
>>16006229
Please make your own utaite thread on /jp/ so we can just change the subject already. You seem to be the only one who even cares about Reol. Your argumentation of wanting to post Reol is lowering the quality of this thread overall.

Besides, utaites were a thing before Vocaloid fandom was even a thing, NND had utaites that covered other songs. Utaites are not solely vocaloid related, they branch out from other fandoms as well.

Utaites is NND culture so make your own utaite thread or you can just fuck off.

Kek, this guy gets it
>>
>>16006274
not the guy who posted the reol album, just saying i think multiple people in this thread would be interested
it's just easier to have all this vocaloid-related stuff in one place, and reol has definitely made a name for herself in the vocaloid fanbase so what she's doing now is relevant, however tangentially. we've had many less interesting and less related topics than reol
some people in this thread might never find the designated utaite or utau or cevio thread, this way the question can reach as many interested people as possible
you can ignore it if you aren't interested, is it that difficult?

>>16006285
weren't we talking about that producer who left vocaloid to form his own band a while ago? it's just interesting to see people move on with their careers and compare their new stuff with their old stuff, it's not like this guy's trying to turn the whole thread into an utaite conversation
also, sega is a large company and vocaloid is only a fraction of what it's known for, reol has been primarily known for vocaloid-related stuff her whole career, that's not even a comparison
>>
>>16006366
It is easy to keep all the Vocaloid related stuff in one place, that's what the thread is for. If GigaP or Reol made a Vocaloid, it'd be more than welcomed here. They have, however, not made a Vocaloid album, this, it is not welcomed here, as made evident by the arguing.

Utau is a synth like Vocaloid so people don't mind as much compared to utaites.
There's more connections since Utau wouldn't exist without Vocaloid. Utaites have existed before Vocaloid so it's not as closely connected.

Yeah, utaites cover Vocaloid songs. I don't mind stuff like that. It's when people try to post an utaites original album (not featuring any vocaloids or Vocaloid original songs) that's just outright annoying.

It would be like me posting about Bump of Chicken and their newest album in this thread because awhile back Bump of Chicken had a collab song with Hatsune Miku. It's ok to talk about the collab song with Miku here since it featured Miku, but it's not okay to talk about Bump of Chicken's newest discography just because they interacted with Vocaloid in the past.

I hope the braindead Reol fags will eventually get it and just make their own utaite thread.

I don't care if Reol had been composing vocaloid songs for 9 years, if she makes a song or album that doesn't have vocaloid vocals on it, it doesn't go in the vocaloid thread. What is the point of this trend that has appeared during the recent years of featuring your own OCs on your Vocaloid story-songs?

I just don't get it. I would if there were no alternatives to the vocaloid software but, why would you spend around 3000Y on some virtual singer to roleplay your OC when you can just a) download a fairly decent quality UTAU, b) collab with some uttaite (something like Sound Horizon did) c) even sing it yourself. In top of that most of Vocaloid OC songs tend to have a poor tunning quality and the vocaloid singer just really feels like a placeholder in these songs.

Not ranting or anything, I'm just really curious about what other people thing about this. In my case normally I find OC songs to have a 3edgy5me story and designs so I directly ignore them.

>a) download a fairly decent quality UTAU, b) collab with some uttaite (something like Sound Horizon did) c) even sing it yourself.
no
To a lot of people and artists Vocaloid are instruments rather than characters. Pretty sure that if we'd make the count, there are actually much, much more songs featuring stories, themes, etc, completely unrelated to Vocaloid rather than ones that do. It's just that newfriends like you are mostly attracted to Vocaloid songs putting the characters themselves ahead, and thus why those songs have more views, then you get a snowball effect, with artists like MichieM easily attracting people but artists like 10日P not having a quarter of his total views because he put his personal feelings and creations over easy pandering.

I'm not judging, I love everything in the Vocaloid scene, but to me you're simply a holding a very limited perspective on all of this. There is nothing that says people shouldn't use Vocaloid the way they like, if anything, it's all the opposite, it's wonderful what Vocaloid has to offer, artistically and creativity-wise.
>>
>>16008875
Brs was more of a theme though. It didn't feature a storyline revolving around the character like Kagepro did for example.
>>
>>16008206

>>
>>16008852

Getting famous as a vocaloid producer is easier than as a nico indie artist. And being famous for a vocaloid story song allows you to make money writting light novels about your story afterwards.
>>
>>16008882
>newfriends like you

I've been here since 2009 smartass. Nice strawman asuming that due I don't like edgy OCs that means I have to be a newfag that just discovered Miku and friends.

>Pretty sure that if we'd make the count, there are actually much, much more songs featuring stories, themes, etc, completely unrelated to Vocaloid rather than ones that do.

Not really, I think we would find songs about random themes in general. I was talking about songs with a fixed storyline and OCs than something sporadical. You may find songs with a picture of a random character like for puting any random example this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLZcsPYdRII where the P simply chosed not to feature Miku on the video and it has very little relevance to the song.

> like 10日P not having a quarter of his total views because he put his personal feelings and creations over easy pandering.

Woah, now it turns out using the Vocaloid characters everyone knows vocaloid for it's pandering. Look, I think you didn't get was I talking about. I was talking about OC songs in the style of Kagepro, which involves storylines and such. I'm fine most of songs that just don't have a kawaii uguu vocaloid drawing in their video, I was just wondering about people who seem to come up with a whole story and characters from 0 and for some reason instead of using any other media they decide to make vocaloid songs. Nothing wrong with that but I noticed tons of them the last years and I feels more like a "trend" that many new artists follow because everyone does it now, like when in 2010 sagas featured Vocaloids instead.

> but to me you're simply a holding a very limited perspective on all of this. There is nothing that says people shouldn't use Vocaloid the way they like, if anything, it's all the opposite, it's wonderful what Vocaloid has to offer, artistically and creativity-wise.

Not judging, but why to get so defensive for a simple question? People comes up with new ideas and other people may like them or not. Apart that you completely missed the point of my post, some people (specially people who's been here before than you and has seen how things have evolved over time) may disagree with other what other people does. Nothing wrong with that.

What difference would it make if they made the song with vocaloid vs human singers? 99% of the time, when people use vocaloid, it's because they don't have access to good human vocals. This is made evident by artists that "graduate" from vocaloid.
But anyway, I think the point is if you want to build a world and tell a story with characters in it, you're gonna need to make characters. The vocalist is only there to tell the story, but the story isn't about them. Not many songs with Miku in them have Miku being Miku, if that makes sense. Miku is just singing a song, but she's not telling her story, just a story.
>>
>>16008965
You typed a lot of words there but somehow ended up missing the most important parts of my post.
>People expressing themselves artistically.
>To a lot of people and artists Vocaloid are instruments rather than characters.
And that's it.
To give you an idea, myself I have projects I'm working on and the idea of using Vocaloid for the music/OST went through my mind. It's in no way to follow some sort of "trend" or anything like that, it's simply because for so many years now I've exclusively listened to Vocaloid music/artists, it's a really important part of my life so it wouldn't be odd to use Vocaloid (as instruments) to help building what I'm trying to achieve. I assume the more or less the same happens for other people. Does it help?

It's your right to not like it, but to literally say they should be using means other than Vocaloid to build their own little world is just silly, people are free to use Vocaloid if they like them as instruments.
>Woah
Like I said I'm not bothered in the slightest, I was just saying things as they are, although it might have sounded accusing. I love everything about Vocaloid.

>I noticed tons of them the last years and I feels more like a "trend" that many new artists follow because everyone does it now
Could you explicitly tell us who? It'd have helped getting your message across better. You're telling me I'm missing your point but while I understand why you think I do, I'm not exactly missing it actually. A lot of artists have OCs and stories as well, they're just less obvious because either the musical style isn't something that'd get super popular as opposed to something like Last Note's stuff, or because they didn't promote themselves with good artists/PVs. There's also the fact that 99% of non-Japanese Vocaloid fans can't speak the language and thus can't really tell whether an album has a story, etc or not. Now if you mean promoting manga/LNs/etc, alright, it's already more niche.

I started listening to Vocaloid thanks to Double Lariat; I don't remember what year it was.

You probably need to install Japanese into your computer. Never used Win10 so I don't know how to do it but googling it should help.

>the only other possible cause i can think of is windows 10 is fucking garbage.
Nah, it's a problem on your machine. If you can type Japanese, then just rename the folder.
>>
>>16009254
But you can manually name the files in file explorer and it shows up correctly?

Only thing I can think of is a) try changing the font, and b) try running jp locale.

Neither of these should be necessary to copy text though.
>>
>>16009269
thing is, I'm organizing my vocaloid collection. I've got over a thousand albums and folder names to change. Manually typing them out would be torture. Plus I can't read kanji well.

>>16009274
oh great I just looked it up and Microsoft has removed the option to change your system's default display font. The only way to do it is with some fishy registry hack. There has to be a simpler solution.

I'm pasting from different sources, firefox to file explorer and foobar to file explorer, still changing all the characters to question marks. Windows 10 was a mistake.
>>
looks like windows 10 doesn't support app locale anymore either. I shouldn't have to change my entire system locale to Japanese just to paste text, when I can view and type it just fine.
>>
>>16009014
Is it completely properly tagged? I got this issue because I didn't realize I didn't have the file names saved with the right tags to read the Japanese text.

...although this shouldn't affect just naming the folders though... so this is probably not it.
>>
>>16009371
yes the album is properly tagged. id3v2.3|id3v1 both present and I'm testing different albums, all are pasting into file explorer as question marks.

weird thing is, it doesn't turn into question marks until i commit the rename change to the folder. when it's pasted in and in edit mode, it's displaying just fine.
>>
Just realized I can't even type Japanese into a folder name either. I can type 日本語 anywhere else.

I suppose a workaround would be ripping in lossless to then convert it ourselves from lossless to mp3. To make things worse, after some more troubleshooting I found out some more peculiar things
1) this only affected folders that I had copied from another hard drive (large music collection) so I was able to paste Japanese into brand new folder names, but not the foreign ones.
2) creating a copy of the affected folder fixes the problem. Why? I don't know.
3) creating a copy of the folder also peculiarly switched the folder name back to it's foreign original. I made a copy of a folder called "??P - ?????" and it made "End of the World - Copy". The album was 世界の終わり by 蝶々P

Apparently Windows 10 can store pseudonames for folders? Is that a real feature?

What's the common outcome after producers "move on" from vocaloid? Do they go big time or do they flop? Are there ones who go back to vocaloids?
>>
>>16015743
Usually, big producers who move on from vocaloid have successful careers. They move on because they have potential to be popular even outside the vocaloid community, after all. Ryo, wowaka, Hachi and Kemu, for example, are doing great.
Also, Ryo released two vocaloid songs after he moved on, and Hachi one, if that counts as go back to vocaloid.

X is fine as an installment of the PJD series. I think F 2nd was better because it had better pvs (thanks PSVR) and better songs, but X is well acceptable.
FT doesn't almost count as a PJD release, it's just like a big collector's edition release or something. No new content, just old content rereleased on a new system. Comparing X to FT is dumb. X is fine.
>>
>>16024798
I wouldn't go that far. Isn't that like saying comparing the PSP games to the vita games is dumb?

I think there's more than enough different and similar between the two that warrants a comparison especially since they came out at the same time and cost roughly the same amount to buy. To say FT has no new content is pretty out there.

I would even go as far to argue that x isn't a good installment of the diva series because of some of the downgrades and "upgrades" involved. I may have even enjoyed playing miracle girls festival more.

They were just holding back to do a big release for the 10th anniversary of Miku next year, right? Right...? Guys...?
>>
>>16024883
I'll make it simple and short.
FT has no original content. It's all ported/remastered. If it was a new game, it would've been ¥70,000.
Would it be worth it then?
>>
>>16024923
You know every song has a new note mapping right? Future tone plays differently than the games it's songs are "ported" from. Does new gameplay not count as new content?

How much "new content" does diva x really have? How much are rush notes worth? Do they have a net increase over those shitty connected star notes that were removed?

There's more to a game's quality than original content. For example, if you want to play dress up in FT you play a song or two, buy the module, and wear it. In diva x you play a song and clear the chance time for a 1/250 chance to get the one you want.

But hey it's got like 20 new songs so I guess it's a good game then. Oh yeah, and it's got an original story too.
>>
>>16025014
>You know every song has a new note mapping
That's not true and even if it was, a chart set for a song would take one person maybe 2 hours depending on how hard the extreme was. It's not new gameplay, it's just copied over from the Arcade.
>How much "new content" does diva x really have?
Every song is new (except one) plus 1 original song and 6 medleys which had to be produced just for it, every song has new choreography, a new stage, and there's lots of new modules.

The one thing you can say about FT being better than X is that the Arcade gameplay is better than the portable releases. But that's the difference between arcade and portable, not FT and X. That's why it's not fair to compare those two games like that, you have to compare arcade to portable, in which case yes, arcade has significant better mechanics.
There is no portable game that could ever hope to be comparable to FT as standalone releases. X could have been completely perfect; 30 song set list with completely concrete tracks, nonPSVR friendly PVs, no drop or skill system, and it would still be disappointing compared to FT. Do you get that? Because it would still use portable mechanics, it would never be as good.
FT is an unfair behemoth of a game that has no right to exist on the PS4 but was given to us graciously as a gift and we should consider ourselves blessed it exists at all. But the only reason it exists at all is because all of the content, or like 99% of the content since some songs have new Extreme charts, is ported or remastered.

If you want to compare X to F2nd, that's valid. The set list is weaker, the PVs are weaker, and the drop and skill system is bad (I like the story mode, though, it can stay).
>>
>>16025105
Well I meant new compared to the portable games considering it was already labelled a "a big collectors edition" previously. Sorry if you couldn't understand that.

I guess it's silly of me to judge games by their gameplay and not the amount of new content in the first place.

So in conclusion X is a fine addition to the series while being worse in almost every way. Got it.
>>
>>16025320
You're really a special piece of shit. We could've kept the discussion civil but if you have to resort being condescending and sarcastic without actually responding to my points, I won't hesitate to call you out for being ignorant and dense.
>I guess it's silly of me to judge games by their gameplay and not the amount of new content in the first place.
Again, that's fine. Arcade has better mechanics than portable. No one is arguing this point. But like I said earlier if you could read, that is not X's fault, it's the portable series fault. FT has better gameplay than X, F 2nd, F, Extend, 2nd, and PJD. Calling out X for having bad gameplay is unfair to X because compared to the rest of the portable releases, it's exactly the same, with the addition of rush notes.
>So in conclusion X is a fine addition to the series while being worse in almost every way. Got it.
It is fine. Being not as good as F 2nd doesn't make it bad. It's better than all the other portable releases except F 2nd. It's still good. It's by no means a bad game just because the drop system is stupid. If you want to critique games by gameplay like you insist on saying you do, X nails the gameplay and most of the charts are really good, if a little easy, but the portable ones always are.
>>
>>16025407
I don't know why you're still arguing, I said you were right. It was "dumb" of me to compare two games with similar gameplay, that came out at the same time, for the same system, and around the same price. How "dumb" of me. You win the argument. "Did you get that?"

Why should you care, period?

You can be as apathetic as you want but at the end of the day, you have to interact with other people to get groceries, go to the bank, job interview, go out to eat, etc.

Heck, I judge those who wear anime/character shirts and I post here. What do you think the average judgement is for a stranger who doesn't care about Anime/Manga/Miku/Japanese culture? Spoiler alert: it's terrible.

I'd rather not be frowned upon so I keep the Miku shirts at home since I'm not a cute little girl.
>>

> you have to interact with other people to get groceries, go to the bank, job interview, go out to eat, etc.
But those people don't matter. Like, at all. What they think has literally zero effect on your life whatsoever. Unless you're actually dumb enough to wear a graphic tee to a job interview, regardless of what the graphic was.

What's disgraceful that you think Miku is something to be ashamed of. Really says a lot more about you than it does them.
>>

>>
>>16037167
That's "economy mode", premium users are unaffected by it.
The issue must be Nico changing some files and the download programs unable to access the new 100MB< ones.(and maybe get redirected)

There's a "hack" an anon mentioned in the other thread involving looking at network traffic and grabbing the link to the file, but it's a troublesome method.

If memory serves me, economy mode should end in about an hour, or that's how it was before I got prem. I'll try again later, but it's very unlikely to be the cause.
The program I used before(NNDD) warns before downloading economy mode videos, and it didn't detect them as being those.

Well you can try downloading a recent Weekly ranking video and see if it's bad quality or not.
You can use my pics from earlier for comparison.

You're welcome.

>>16037508
>Like what? Just curious.
Not him but it happens with pretty much most artists and most songs. Not always and necessarily a case where the album version is "not as good", but often it ends up being arranged differently, and thus sounding differently. So naturally in those cases I always like having both versions.

An example would be Heavenz's Telomere's First Cry. PV version sounds amazing, album version not so much (the one from the compilation that is - I don't know if it had then been re-released).

Also another very obvious example would be one of DECO's latest songs having GUMI for singer but Miku in the album version. So once again, saying something like "downloading from nnd is useless" is retarded. Not even counting songs that don't end up on albums or even artists who don't ever release any CDs.
>>
>>16037508
I suppose it boils down to opinions.

I didn't like the remake of Plastic Marionette(album ver)
(or the Proof one either)
The game version(IA/VT) of Hoshizora no Lion
The album version of Sonorous (sound collection - new original)

These are all "compared to the original", the ones uploaded(first) I guess.
Sometimes the tuning, sometimes the instruments, the arrangement, but they feel "off" in some(wrong) way.

I mean it's not always bad, but I guess the ones that didn't work out stand out more(on a personal level of course)

For example, the "re-recording ver" of THE INVISIBLE FACT is alright(or great even), different singer, and almost sounds like a new song, or an entirely new take on the idea.
I was annoyed by people saying "how much better it is than the original", even though they're quite different.

Ok, some pretty big changes here and I agree there's some things that was better in the original arrangement. I do want to note that the mastering is better in the new version, which makes sense.

>>16037715
>THE INVISIBLE FACT
Another cool example, I like that the original goes straight into a full beat where the remake is kind of a slow build. If I had to choose, I do have to go with the new version though. The tuning with Yukari just fits so well.

Another interesting remake is ichinose LUPO's 君と僕のあすの歌. Just thought I would share, even if both versions have been released on albums.

>THE INVISIBLE FACT
I personally prefer Miku's version, she sounds kind of, I don't know, aggressive? It just goes so well with the music of the original.

>Plastic Marionette
I understand that the remake sounds more cleaner but the lack of buzzing which might have been due to not so great instruments(?) is a trade-off which changes the feel of the song and might not be actually worth it.

As for the last song, they both sound alright. Doesn't feel like an upgrade or downgrade. I suppose it also depends on how attached you are to a version...
>>
>>16037878
>Honestly, the CD sounds better to me.
Well, to each their own. Ultimately the point I wanted to convey is that versions differ, not necessarily in good or bad, just different, and I like to have them all. I think it's interesting that people have different opinions over this.

I re-listened to the gekkabijin version and the instruments just sound off to me. Battery is weird. During the emotional part at 3min the guitar doesn't have any punch either. Miku's singing(? don't know how to call it) at the start and end of the song also have much more emotion in the original PV version.
Now while I'm being "harsh" I still think it's an interesting version and I'm actually glad he went on changing it, better have two instead of one after all.

In case people care about what we've been talking about :
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm19180162

Just listened to the "POPsTAR the VOCALOID Season2" version and... it's pretty much the same as the original PV version, but slightly better I would say after only listening to it once. So considering you said...

I can't really find the differences you're referring to. Maybe we need a third opinion, but the arrangement sounds exactly the same to me, only difference is I'm listening to a flac copy of the album, so it sounds marginally fuller than the PV version. Want me to upload my copy?

That's a really sweet arrangement and album
>>
>>16038258
I have it in .flac as well. I'm not sure what to tell you. The gekkabijin version is clearly different to the original PV or POPsTAR version (those two are the same). Like not just some slight differences most wouldn't notice, parts are clearly different. The "OhhOhhhhohhhh" (0:10~ to 0:25~ | 1:35~ to 1:50~ | 3:48~ to 4:15~) particularly, on top of the other stuff I typed up there.

If we can't still understand each other here we might need a third opinion indeed, though it's not exactly a big deal either anyway.

>"they just don't make vocaloid music as good as they used to"
>wow I'm not gonna spoon feed you, do some research
>"it's just that the whole scene is in slow decline"
>then you can just leave
It's like you're responding to someone else but keep accidentally quoting me. There's no correlation whatsoever between my posts and your responses and it's confusing the heck outta me.
>>
>>16041549
Not them, but if those actually are your posts, they probably mean
>there's still good music, go find it yourself
and
>if you don't like any of the new songs you can just leave

I had a similar discussion before and the conclusion was "maybe it's your turn to leave the ride" and "Might as well free some room".

I know this hobby is all about "community", but like in real life, ultimately, you're on your own in the end.
>>
>>16041616
I don't understand why someone has to get off the ride just because the ride is slowing down.
>>
>>16041549
Why are you assuming I posted any of the stuff above?

Every thread we have shits like you posting this :
>they just don't make vocaloid music as good as they used to
Have you listened to everything that's been made ever? Do you have like 10TOs of Vocaloid music? Listened to all the artists and songs ever made? Given the sorts of things you've said and plan to respond : most likely not. Ironic isn't it?

If you can't understand what such a statement sound terribly immature to most of us then there's no point continuing this conversation, and like other anon just said, if you can't find yourself anymore here then find yourself some other hobbies.

>>16041630
It's a secret of no one that the scene as changed, yet "not as good songs as they used to" is not even slightly relevant here. Why would songs magically become """less good"" all of a sudden? Can you at least understand why it is retarded to say something like this when it comes to music? If not you might take a look at what subjectivity is, and also reflect on your ego before judging thousands of artists solely based on your personal feelings. Get some self-awareness. We don't need people like you.

>>
>>16041684
And I gave you such an easy out, too. All you had to do was walk away.
Oh well.
There's nothing to rebut. You're not making points. It's a simple, observable fact that many of the producers that were popular have left the scene or are borderline inactive, and the producers taking their places as the new popular names aren't as good. The quality of songs today aren't as good as what they used to be because the producers aren't as talented. It's pretty simple.
>>
>>16041684
Like I said, I had this same conversation a long time ago. Granted, I don't go around saying it in every thread, but I think it's idiotic and elitist to tell someone to quit just because they have some negative opinions.
>>
>>16041699
I did make points. You just refuse to see them. Your posts have no substance whatsoever aside from "Vocaloid sucks now"; people try to explain to you why this is a stupid statement to make and you then call on them for being mad or out of the line.

What the hell, man. Once again, learn what subjectivity and egocentricity are - though I'm probably wasting my time typing this considering how your typing style reeks as shit.

Also, look up what subjective means because you're not using it the way you think you are. If music was subjective, you wouldn't be able to say I was wrong or stupid. If music was subjective, my opinion of "the music isn't as good as it used to be" would be equally as valid as your opinion.

It is indeed. You're entitled to think and feel the way you do. Now trying to pass it as a general truth or use your opinion as an argument? That's not so subjective anymore then. That's what I've been aiming at here, not your taste or anything like that.

Although if I did wanted to be a jerk I would go on and project about how people only caring about mainstreams like you seem to do are the first one to come here and post stuff like "vocaloid is dedd and suck now 2009 forever!!". I never hear the people with diverse taste from this thread complaining about these things. Makes sense to me but perhaps it does not to you.

This is why I'm not bothering to rebut your "points". You can't even coherently form one. You need to make up mind as what you actually believe, first.
Is it either
A) music is subjective and my opinion that music today isn't as good as it used to be is valid
Or B) music is objective and taste is quantifiable
You have nothing to base what my taste in music even is other than I think music today isn't as good as it used to be, but you have absolutely no clue how diverse my taste may be or how much music I've listened to. You've made up this newfag mainstream character in your head and you're arguing against him instead of me, just making shit up that suits your agenda and then planting that onto that strawman.

Sort of ironic considering you've done nothing but ignoring what I would advance to then try to make a fool out of with some pretty talks. Everything would've been much easier if you'd simply face the conversation straight on but you felt the need to put your ego on the line and go on and spit shits like "i stuck a nerv aint I".

You can't accept the point I was making because it would result in you reflecting on your very own person; and this, you simply can't do as you are now.

>>16041839
We are all aware Vocaloid as a whole has changed, this is once again irrelevant to the quality of Vocaloid music as a whole. Once again you are trying to hide behind statistics to push and defend your own perceptions on things.

Unless you compare search queries statistics instead of trends. This data doesn't show interest in given topic, just count of searches of given phrase.

That's search term, not interest in given topic.
If you use "Fictional Character" or "Software Type" or other general trends you get statistics from more sources that just google queries, it gives more correct statistics about interests in given topic.
People lately refrained from using "初音ミク" in google search and prefer to use "Hatsune Miku". That's all this data say. It doesn't say how popular Miku is in general.

Hey, local obsessed-with-gekkabijin fag here, just wanna point out in case there was any misunderstanding that gekkabijin came out way before heavenz released the song on nicodou. The version on nicodou sounds more "touched up" because it is. The PV version is not the "original" version; the one on gekkabijin is.

I'm fine with both, but I probably enjoy gekkabijin's version more because I listened to it a ton before the song was released on nicodou, so it's what I'm more used to. I think I've listened to gekkabijin in its entirety more than any other album I've ever owned.
