this is an extreme long shot but I guess I'll ask here, when I was a kid while randomly channel surfing I came across a hispanic channel that had a music vid show playing. the one that got my attention was what seem to be a Japanese girl and some big ass el chapo looking dude singing a duet. it one point in the video he's singing upside down while right next to her. the whole song was in japanese or good portion of it. any central or south Americans know what I might be talking about? Shit, recently it feels like all Japanese music sound the same. The only ones I can think of that don't sound the same in their respective genres' are 9mm Parabellum Bullet and KOHH. Can't really explain it but they have hardass beats similar to Korean/American tracks, whereas I feel that most Japanese stuff have quiet instruments or they all do the same thing. 9mm sounds like a ton of other alt rock bands that came out at the same time. That stuff and most of the pop rock posted in this thread all tends to sound very similar to other artists. The only thing I find all major/"recent" Japanese artists to sound the same in is the fucking terrible mixing style where everything is compressed to shit and clipping or almost clipping.

Anyone listened to Theatre Brook's Love Changes the World last year's album? How is it?

Latey, I have been listening mostly popular bands. New Bump of Chicken album is fine but it seems that they'll never really surpass Yggdrasil. New Amazarashi is very good. At first I though it will be only a mini-album for some reason but got nicely surprised. GALNERYUS' december album is also very good listen. FLOW's #10 is nice. I like all those collaborations. Fresh Secret Sensation from Ling Tosite Sigure (T.K.) is fine, could be better, but not bad. New MAN WITH A MISSION is nice listen too. Last year's Nothing's Carved In Stone was kind of a disappointment, it just sounded bland to me. The band overall feels uninspired for me but they manage to produce some decent songs for every album but MAZE is just boring. I like ocassional SPYAIR but listening to whole album (4) was boring. THE ORAL CIGARETTES are really good, Fixion packs nice tracks.

Anyone got a web with regularly updated decently organized list of jmusic releases? I just can't really keep up with this shit.
