It's a little inspired by ZUN music CD's, it's for a game i'm making, the music is coming along more compared to the rest of the aspects though sadly.

I'm working on a Touhou clone that's written in HTML5 and Javascript.

I'm a bit of a noob at programming. The controls are the same as the default for Touhou games. Right now, all you can do is fight a pretend boss over and over. Eventually, I'm going to put mobs, a subboss, an actual boss, and actual graphics instead of floating circles.

Any kind of altered chord sounds good with the proper voice leading, but only if you use them sparingly. If you use them everywhere, they'll lose their uniqueness and the music just sounds muddy. I say this from experience.

The upper torso is fine, the arms and hands are especially nice.
Legs and waist however are a bit dislocated, the face doesn't look good with the gigantic eyes and the right cheek is too flat. Neck I can't really put my finger into it but it's pretty jarring, I think the way the hair meshes with it makes it seem much thinner than it is/should be. Hair looks too anime and clashes with the rest of the image.

The other dude is exaggerating though, you're doing fine. Keep at it dude.

The figure is a small musical idea that makes people able to recognize your song, in this case it's the "ding-dong" plus the background. You could say the mood is the emotion that the songs conveys. In your song the mood is set at the beginning but then stays static. If that's what you were going for it's fine. The colorful sound is one of the most prevalent things in impressionist music. It's hard to define what color is, because it's the kind of thing that is heard.
Play this: C - Am - Dm - G - Em - Am - Fm - Bb - Eb - Cm - Fm - Bb - Eb - Cm - Dm - G - C
The first Fm and the last Dm are the most colorful chords. Borrowed chords, sevenths and other stuff like that sounds colorful if not overuse them. I'm sure you understand this stuff.

I guess we just call the same thing by different names. You got it right though, the whole song is based off a "bells" motif. The mood is meant to stay static, as to kind of let the mind wander for a bit longer. I guess you could think on some William Gillock and the way that his short lyrical preludes have a static motif that is repeated the whole way through. And I see what you mean with the color. The color of the piece lends itself to the fact that it revolves around lydian and doesn't want to gravitate to the tonal center. So you could say Lydian and some harmonies up to the 9th are what I have in my palette.

It's really nice to be able to talk this in-depth about it, by the way. You've got a very nice knowledge of Impressionism. Are you a keyboard player yourself?
