Not really sure how to properly phrase this question but what's the difference / which one should I use for X case when it comes to conjugating two verbs at the same time by using the first part of the masu form or by using the のを?

For kanji I mainly used kodansha, but it's not dissimilar to RTK.
I own both volumes of Genki and have practically never used them, they're a waste of money unless you're studying at University. I'd recommend using tae kim's grammar guide to get your head around the basics and then start reading literature, whenever you find a word or grammar construct you don't know just use a dictionary or ask the internet.

The URLs for each kanji aren't a simple generic pathway plus the character but I have a list of the corresponding addresses for each character on their site. It's an awesome site for looking up kanji.

Kanji Grid is written in Python, I think, and it looks like the add-on is using some generic URL pathway+the character string to resolve the page.

Alright, I made a single note containing all the kanji from my NameDeck into a card, imported it to my main vocab deck and that made it easy for Kanji Grid to separate things with colors!

Now I have a list of all the jinmeiyou I should prioritize for vocab learning, afterwards I'll jump into the completely unknown ones.

A fair amount of hyougai kanji being used for names, although I think they are mostly 旧字体.

Nah, I'm just collecting sample sentences for vocabulary, that's the quickest one I could find for phoenix.

in response to your question there isn't much practical difference between the two, the only nuance i could really think of is that から is directed more towards the place you are leaving, it just emphasises that it is the HOUSE that you are leaving.

in this case, that だ is a conjugative suffix of na-agjective, but it is the same as the copula だ.
だ makes 大変 link to the whole preceding clause (くだけた話し方の他に)敬語もある;

I struggle with 都合, mainly since both individual kanji don't seem to bear much relation to one another. It's a common word so I'll learn it the more I encounter it, but does anyone know about the origin of both kanji being made into this compound?

合 seems to be mostly focused around counters, fitting, combination etc.

都 is a metropolis/municipality.

I can't answer your questions, but I had the same problem as you anon, I struggled with that card for three or four months. I almost always would read it as 都会 because they look somewhat similar and that's a natural reading for those two kanji. It just takes some time to get it hammered into place in your head.

I should clarify the post a bit better though: it's not that a language *exclusively* encodes its information on a particular layer. To borrow from Computer Science: *all* human languages are "Turing complete" - no single language is able to do things that no other language can. The difference lies in details and particulars. Japanese is a semi-language isolate, but all of its features can be found in other languages as well.
