Art: Statue of David
View: Sydney harbour is without a doubt the most picturesque city. I love flying home.
Building : the Vittorio monument in Roma
is breath taking
Nature: diving the great barrier reef; runner up is batu caves outside of KL in Malaysia.
City streets: the boulevards of Paris are ridiculous.
Historical: Athens ruins in general are pretty interesting. Roma close runner up.
>>
Art: Alex Grey painting with Carbon Based Lifeforms playing live
View: The Mediterranean, the endless light blue sea is just something else for me
Building: Notre Dame in Paris, inside and out
Nature: Nothing beats delving deep inside a forest in the Finnish rural areas
City streets: Wandering aimlessly around the small streets of Stockholm, drinking beer and chatting with a friend.
Historical: The renaissance buildings of Venice. I had just played Assassins creed 2 prior to visiting so it was super fun to look at the buildings I was scaling in the game IRL.

The view from Sigiriya, Sri Lanka. This photo just doesn't do it justice, but you look out across the whole jungle from atop of one of the most impressive mountain fortresses that has ever been built. It blew me away.

Sitting inside the main tomb at Newgrange, literal tonnes of rock over my head only held up through clever arrangement of stones with no reinforcement, and watching the sun move 'til it shone directly through the narrow, twisty passage of the entrance and lit up the stone chamber I was in was... a special feeling. I still can't adequately describe the sensation.

when i stumbled upon an underground lake filled with semi-naked women somewhere in the middle of nowhere..

i was 19 and got dragged along by family to some vacation resort near yucatan, mexico. those resorts and luxury vacations with organized tours and clown staff aren't my kind of thing so i went out on my own every day.

one day i took a bus to a nearby town and rented a quadbike, followed some dirt roads leading into the jungle for a few hours and along the way i came to a big hole in the ground with a wooden staircase leading down and cheerful voices coming from down below. fuck it.. went down to see what was going on

it was a freaking lake. underground. with the clearest water i have ever seen and a few dozen tourists, mostly female, sitting around on the rocks and swimming in the water while their tourguide was serving shots of tequila. i hadn't seen a human for several hours by then so it was quite the surprise
