I'm have a little trouble with some of the longer vowels. Such as aa or oo. Sometimes the long vowels can sound like one spelling but is spelt another. For example: oo and ou both sound the same but oo is used as "ah!" and ou is a word for king. How do you distinguish which long vowel is being intended?

I fell for the RTK jew and made handwritten cards for all kanji, but there are so many that you won't see for quite a while that I'm actually mad how much time I wasted and the grouping of the kanji doesn't really make it easier to remember them anyway

Sometimes glottal stops are utilized to express more emotion. I believe this would be the て construction for linking sentences (and to typically show a relationship between them).

In DBJG, it says って can be a conversational topic marker, but in this case that would be grammatically correct I think, since すずしく is not a noun nor has it been nominalized with a の.

みんな is "everyone" in that it is not specific to a individual whereas 誰も can be specific to every individual or to no individuals, depending on whether the noun phrase is affirmative or negative.

Either ignore the pun completely, or replace "mochi" with something similar (snack, treat, sweets, candy) that makes it easy to do puns, and just make up random puns that kinda makes sense in context. Allow the "rhyme" puns like the grout ones in bathrooms
