How do you want your new logo senpai
>>3022325
just basic shapes my shit up
>>3022319
I know what they up to...
Minimalism was a mistake
>>3022319
I used the golden ratio meme to lengthen the rectangle. Does it seem a bit more acceptable now?
Why tho
>>3022388
actually yes
>>3022388
Wow.
I'm actually kind of impressed.
>>3022388
SIZE DOESN'T MATTER YOU FAGGOT
>>3022388
It looks more like it could be an actual P instead of just two shapes relative to each other.
Fuck your flat design, homie.
Their site design is 10x better than the old one.
if you think of it as a coin going into a slot it's not that bad
>>3022503
That's because that's exactly what it is.
>>3022319
holy fuck what, I thought you were some shitposter who redesigned the logo shitter on purpose as bait lmfao no way
>>3022319
I bet just this logo took them over a year to design.
>>3022319
its so fucking dumb and pretentious. who ever did it should be fired.
>>3022319
> Made in 2 minutes with Paint
What is there to discuss? The old logo wasn't memorable. I haven't seen something like this since DA changed their old logo. The artist surpassed himself.
who the fuck designed this
>>3023038
"designed"
>The old logo was so bad and amateurish that its own āeā was ROTFL at it. The overall geometric repetitiveness of it was dull and it lacked any kind of refinement. The new logo signals a clear growth and maturity stage for the service and introduces a proper, nicely crafted, simple wordmark.
I don't know man. Now it looks like a money laundering conceptual art logo.
>>3022319
i'd rather draw
>>3023335
Ayyy

You fools. Something occult.
Also, Patreon sucks ass. They keep 50% of your income.
>>3022319
why tho, the old one was perfectly iconic and recognizable
>>3022319
>>3022319
Flat design is outdated, bad call Patroen
>>3023546
And this one
>>3023335
Did it had to be gay, friend?
>>3023567
more dicks=more fun
>>3023548
brilliant
I mean if they just added two more shapes you could have it like a 3D effect that's not too bad
>>3022319
It reminds me that I still have 0 patrons.

dead before you were even born
>>3024951
Expected the art to suck, but I actually really dig it.
I'm going to take a wild guess and say you have no online presence anywhere. You may have a few social media accounts, but you have weak numbers.
What exactly was your plan here? What was your plan to drive engaged fans of your work to your Patreon?
Patreon is a platform for monetizing fanbases. If you have no fans, you have no one to give you money.
>>3024962
honestly just going off DA, Twitter and FB.
I don't know how to get a bigger hold of people who would dig my stuff.
Thanks, btw. I hope you visit my pages.
>>3023516
sauce?
>>3024962
How do you build up an online presence?
>>3025035
>I hope you visit my pages.
I didn't, because they weren't linked anywhere on your Patreon (at least that I could see). If you're expecting people to take the effort to look you up on Google. then that's a sure fire way to lose someones interest. It's an easily fixable problem. Include links everywhere. It's common rule of thumb in online marketing to make things as easy as can possible make it for someone to take action (follow you, like a post, buy something, etc.)

That's the big question. Being good is simply not enough. You might get lucky, but relying on luck is a bad business plan. You can't wait around to "be discovered", or for people to just stumble upon your work.
Here are some techniques to help:
+ Tagging your work well (look up how to do this)
+ Posting work that is appealing (technical proficiency =/= being able to make appealing work). This is largely up to you - no amount of guides or tutorials will help you develop creativity and tastes.
+ Make fan art of a popular series, or tie in some current event.
+ Humorous work has a lot of appeal
+ Post often (~3 times a week minimum, if you can).
+ Share sketches and WIP's. People enjoy seeing behind the scenes.
+ Do commercial projects, and get credited for it (ideally on their social media pages).
+ The big kahuna (and the most effective way, IMO): Get featured on larger blogs & websites. I find this to be a great way to get a large amount of engaged followers quickly. There are two ways to do this: contact a relevant website to see if they'll feature your work, or to have your work organically go viral and someone comes to you for a feature.
+ In terms of work going organically viral when you have no followers, you can kickstart this process by submitting to content aggregators. I highly, highly recommend submitting to any relevant subreddits on Reddit. If it hits the front page and you link back to your work well, you can get a lot of new activity this way.
is it that time

I'll try this, thanks for your advice.

r34 of the fucking patreon logo?
I love this place.
>>3025112
Well that was fast
>>3025112
That's a pretty good logo for them since all the money there is made from porn comissions.
>>3024806
whoah take it easy there anon, too much detail
They should change their requirements to make a patreon instead of changing the logo
>>3025054
Jagaaaaaaaaan
>>3022406
this
if you're doing minimalism you have to understand how to make basic shapes imply complex shapes.
>>3022319
I don't like it.
It doesn't even look like a P
>>3026399
yes it does, get your eyes check.
that fact that so many of you can parody the logo and anons can STILL make the connection is a testament to how good of a logo is actually is.

>>3030773
Holy fuck guys, now that I think about it, it might be a fucking hidden communist propaganda. Boycott this shit.
>>3030789
Another reason to boycott it, they're total jews
>>3030815
>Artists are so bad at business that they wouldnt know how to replicate Patreons format if the site didnt exist
>>3030815
Have you ever thought that maybe, you are the jew?
>>3030815
>complains about Patreon not taking even 1/10
>ignores 30% for taxes
>>3030815

I don't think you know how taxes works
>>3031377

>>3030815
