Sooooo we are trying to come up with some ads for our new startup/product. I came up with this 50s theme. Since the product is a garbage bin that freezes your garbage to eliminate odors, I thought the 50s were perfect. Lots of mixed reactions...some ladies thought they were "highly offensive". Idk. What do you guys think?

I think these are nice
Shouldn't you take them to the graphic design board though?
HAHAHA maybe they should go to the graphic design board. The 'critique' part is what I liked about this one

Honestly it just looks like you threw that little logo over it and added some text. Needs a cooler, more consistent font and that logo needs something to keep it more in line with the style. None of this is really consistent at all , the sizes and position of your logo are all different. Add a border or something with the same color scheme to all of your designs maybe?
These look terrible
Literally low tier facebook posts

>Taking a competent artist's work ,cropping it and slapping text on it, ruining the original compositions.
Please never art again.
Does freezing your garbage actually work?

oh yeah!
Who's your target buyer for this? Only their opinion really matters
Unless you plan on marketing to 4chan neckbeards the thread is kinda pointless

LOL but i like 4chan neckbeards! our target market is housewives and tech junkies basically

This just sounds like something that would be on Tim & Eric or the Eric Andre Show; nonsensical humor played completely straight. Interesting concept, but I'd study some old 50s ads first, not just art but the way that they're written. You can't just slap words on vaguely looking 50s art and call it a day.

Also this pretty good advice.
