Sorry If I posted in the wrong place but I was wondering if someone could help me out

I'm looking for an extension to painting pic related. I just want to paint figures don't actually want to play 40k. Is there anywhere I can buy these kind of figures that's not 40k? that shit is EXPENSIVE.

basically when I was younger my older bro used to play Warhammer 40k but let me paint 1 figure out of every set he got.
This was a long time ago but I really have the craving to get back into painting miniatures. I don't particularly want to paint Warhammer figures but just anything even remotely cool. I've thought about 3D printing my own figures to paint but it seems a bit too expensive to consider at the moment

I have a debilitating eye condition and can't look at screens/bright lights so i've stopped graphic design and need an alternative. thanks in advance
