Clearly you haven't been on this site for a long time. These are containment boards that were needed with /mlp/ being the worst offender. Anime is the rule of law on all boards may it be politics, video games, techloligy, or an art board.

With that said, if the western stylization thread makes people happy then by all means. But clearly majority of the board draws in an anime-influenced style.
