I think her chin could be more rounded, I dont like the way the hair invades into the neck nor te way the neck connects to body.
Her left hands palm is a little too long and the connection between it and the thing shes holding a little awkward. her right eear seems higher than her left, and is too far away.
I think her lower lip has 3px too much ignoring style. I think her left elbow is a little far out, or her left forearm a little too show, or her left forearm a little too small ( foreshortening)

But the biggest problem is the lines dont read well for the planet thingamajig. and are those lines of paper or???

Something about those eyebrows are really nice. You're going to want to make her left arm read as coming towards us by drawing more folds around the elbow, right now its a bit too flat. It would probably help a lot more if you defined the area her right ear meets the face. It's covered with hair right now, but hair doesn't really act that way. The flower thing in the middle is looking straight on at us, but assuming it's resting on her chest, it would be facing up a bit more (just flatten it in free transform). Your linework is fine, maybe you could control where you decide to put your details, but all in all I think you'd benefit a lot from thinking in 3D/spatially because it's lacking a lot of realistic depth.

Use the gray scale to paint first, it'll will allow you to focus only on the volume part, you can create volume by using the darkest shade of a color (so pay really attention to shadows), the lightest shade increase the volume effect.

I always try to convey volumes clearly, but at the same time I don't wanna have thick-high-contrast colors.
Because I love subtle variants of colors like traditional watercolor, not acrylic feels like this.
But in the end, everything is either dark as hell or flashbangish white. If I tone down a bit, Every boundaries and highlights are gone.

Subtle differences in colour temperature sounds like the key. Read up on colour theory.
If you spend a little time looking through good work of others until you find something that is doing what you're talking about, you can do a piece where you dropper tool their colours and hopefully you can learn something.

I didn't even know there's a thing "color theory". Guess I didn't know anything about this after all.
I actually did several dropper practice on real life photographs, but never done with others work.. how the fuck didn't I come up with this idea. It's so simple..

It's not quite related with this topic, but the reason I want to achieve watercolor-like coloring is that I would REALLY love to have vague foggy vibe on my work. To do so i must have acquired said technique. I will definitely do what you said.

I think you should focus less on perspective except for where the horizon line is. I don't want to be that guy, but you should flip through Vilppu's drawing manual because he talks about how to create depth through overlaps, contour lines, wrapping lines, etc. without drawing every perspective line like /ic/ tells you to. I drew up some pointers that might help you.

Color is nice, line thickness is almost there. Make the lines in the mechanical parts of the left arm thicker as they are closer to the viewer.

I feel like you might benefit from vectorizing this by the way, it seems like you'd get a far cleaner result if you had that technical aspect of easily manipulating the curves.

Wouldn't call it impossible for anime in general, there are plenty of artists on Pixiv who manage a more voluminous rendering style. Moe-stylisation specifically however I'm not so sure, simply because the cuteness of it relies on the lack of detailing.

Personally I'd tilt the angle of her left sleeve opening a little forwards, because right now it breaks the illusion of foreshortening; it makes her left forearm look too short compared to the upper arm.
Also, try to stay consistent with the thickness of your lines, the bottom half of the dress has them rather thick, which pulls it to the foreground with the orb. I had to look twice to make sure it wasn't meant to be a pedestal for the floating orb thing.

The back of pearl's doesn't curve inward enough, necks aren't straight lines. Remember stretch and squash. So since she's crooking her neck up to look at something there would a definite bend at the back of the neck.

Why is garnets hand on the arm that is folded bending like that? It would make more sense if she had it resting on the crease of her elbow. With the way it's positioned it seems odd because, one that position would be awkward and unnatural, two because of the size of her breasts that would actually be really uncomfortable to do, she'd be smashing into them with her wrist. The position of the shoulder also feels weird in conjunction with the way you've place it.

Roses eyes are a bit too low, if she opened them they'd almost be starting right on top of ends of her nostrils. I know that's how it is in steven universe but because you're drawing out the nose semi realistically it just looks kind of odd. They don't need to be moved a ton higher, just ever so slightly.

I like the concept though and the atmosphere is pretty.

Nah, you just gotta do a few adjustments to your process.
Once you got each part outlined, separate them (as in distance) and render like you would a normal drawing, play with some general lighting afterwards.
When you're done just merge the whole thing and get each part into a different layer.

Arms look short, breh. Remember, elbow should line up with navel and top of the head. If you actually used ref, don't rely on it so much.

The elbow is not going to go past the rib cage Its going to reach the length of the other shoulder.

And for the other one the elbow just goes past the top of the head. And since it'es bending forward.... (as well as the head being stylisticly larger pinup )

I'm not going to post the ref I used since it's my own and the model doesn't want it posted.

Used a 50mm lens to limit distortion and at a distance.

It's right. the angel and foreshortening might not read to tell since it's going to be painted and just rough sketched.

It is amusing though how hard you guys are trying though. It reminds of of that firez photo study you idiots tried to redline despite it being accurate and on point.

As I said, don't rely on ref so much. Even photos can look wrong sometimes as we all know. It's more important to look right or aesthetic than actually be accurate.

youre doing well and there are few mistakes on the grand scale, sadly, everytime we zoom in, we see a distinct lack of flair. For example the elbow and arms are perfect boxes, the knees dont look like knee and the folds dont look good, but they are present. Usually people get hammered for proportions ( shes kinda long btw) but in your case you need to anti up on your lineweight and details as well as dynamism/flow

Said, I don't have anything against the camel toe but it's sort of hard to see why you're seeing it. What I mean is, is her skirt flipped up, or does her uniform not cover her from the waste down, or what? It's just a little hard to tell what is being moved out of the way to give a panty shot because from the waste down her outfit turns into just flat geometric shapes and pastel colors.
