This bulwark, coupled with the legacy of the Constitution that Pinochet bestowed prevented Chile from jumping in the Bolivarian bandwagon that sweeped Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, etc

Had not been for this Chilean wealth would be squandered and the country would be as bankrupt as Venezuela. That's why it's safe to say Pinochet not only has saved his country, but he is still saving it, and he will save it until his Constitution remains in force.
