I unironically believe "Real" Europe is only Western Europe, the Carolingian Core that later built the colonial Empires.

Eastern Europe (and everything east of the red line) is ethno-culturally Eurasian, which is distinct because of the influence from all the migratory peoples from the Eastern Eurasian steppes and the direct influence of the Levant in the South, and the unique Slavic/Turkic/Finnic blend.

This isn't a bad thing meant as an insult to those people and as a praise to the West, quite the contrary.
Nations like Poland, Finland and Hungary may be Western in their religion but they are still Eastern in their ethnic essence.
The contribution of all the Eastern "European" nations is frequently minimized and they are treated as a periphery of the stronger West, despite then pro-Western obsession of many of those people.

The other bad thing is that the idea of a common Eurasian identity has been hijacked by Russian interests.

A Finn has more in common with Northern Russians and Estonians, which have more in common with Poles, Belorussian and Ukrainians, which have more in common with Romanians and Slovaks and so on.
