>Jim Morrisons effect on history
He showed his dick on stage on stage one time. Caused a lot of ruckus and disdain for the music movement of the time.
In the end he was just another alcoholic narcissist douchebag who managed to be a rockstar. Thinking he was some agent of change is deluded.
t. Doors/Morrison fan.

>he showed his dick on stage one time
Everyone at the concert said he didn't and the band argued that it would have been impossible for him to do so with his leather trousers.

The governemt wanted Jim dead and that's what they got. Some people think it's cause his dad was a navy admiral and le joos killed Jim to stop him doing anything about the American ship they had sunk.
I think its cause he was a real ruckus man
t.bigger Doors/Morrison fan

very little outside of music, just another piece of a movement much larger than any one man

Or maybe because he liked heroin.
It always impresses me how familiar 4chan is with the doors and Jim Morrison

Well, I mean, The Doors isn't a niche band.

Wow, considering 4chan is made up of mostly middle class North Americans, I do wonder why they'd be familiar with a famous north american rock band.
A footnote in the history of western music. Some really niche university class in 200 years will breeze over the psychedelic era and maybe play "The Crystal Ship" or something.

Have you driven down the American South West while listening to The Door's discography back to back?

I feel like he basically took what Mick Jagger started, and morphed it into the archetypal '70s "rock star" frontman.
