Has anyone ever got Hydrus to work? i tried it once for but what ever i did, the files were not tagged. I wanted to tag my 4chan folder with it but i had no luck.

Well mostly besides that it took a like 5 minutes until it would start up, it just didn't find any pictures from my 4chan folder. Mangameeya is the best for double page reading, to me. I use it to read manga and doujin.

Honeyview is minimal and great as a replacement to your regular image viewer. It doesn't have the suite of features Mangameeya does though, in regards to reading.

Tag flagger + e-hentai highlighter is the closest you are going to get on e-hentai. Otherwise, you'll have to use some other site.

But really though, to be able to use a negative tag, just use something like l:english -tag then you'll get stuff only in English minus the tag you want, or various tags. Then just copy paste that when you need it.

Does Hydrus have any way of grouping a few images in a certain order? I manged to import a lot of my images and tagged them but they are still in this messy order which makes it hard to find stuff. Like you'll will have a image with bukkake then several images later you'll get to the begaining and have the same image but without the bukkake. Like this triggers me for some reason.

I have left mine overnight. when it gets like this the program has failed and you need to restart it. the best thing to do is find the files which are tedious by scanning for meta data in small batches. then you need to get the link for those by hand. once you have them linked the error will be gone, not that it will really matter since you'll have all the metadata anyway

So i'm trying to download an animated image from pixiv. I looked in the resources doc and tried to download the script, but it doesn't seem to be working.

Is there an easier way to download these things? Apparently pixiv is just taking like 10 jpg images and delaying between switching them, so I can't download it as a gif, and I'm not on my main computer to just download the frames and gif it myself.

Sorry to bother you guys, but I am having issues with Hydrus client being unable to download an entire pixiv gallery. It will say it finds 29 entries, but ends up only downloading 10 of them. I suspect that the program is not setup to handle those pixiv posts with multiple images in it. Anyone know what might be the issue?

Alright, so I put in my id and hash for both happypanda and pandaviewer and neither are working for me.
I've been putting the numbers located after ipb_member_id= and so on, do I need to include just the numbers or anything else as well?
Happypanda says it has a connection error, and pandaviewer acts like it's trying to fetch metadata but comes up short.
Firewall allows Happypanda to go through and I can't find pandaviewer.

Any help is greatly appreciated, the old program (I think mangaorganizer) worked for me years ago but it eventually crashed due to too much porn.

There's multiple ways of sorting images (by date, size, etc.). If those don't work and you need an explicit order, you could try adding a page tag to your local repository, and then sort by page number.

Yeah, basically. Give the first image the tag "page:1" the second "page:2" and so on.

Then when you sort by page they'll be in that order.

You could also just use tags to filter out those kinds of duplicates. E.g. in your example, add "bukkake" to your search, and the image without bukkake won't appear.

How do you guys usually store or back up your doujins and h anime?

One of my externals just died and took a chunk of my collection with it. I regret not moving it over to my new drive when I had the chance.

what I do is I save my shit on an external, clone it to another external daily, and clone that to another external whenever I have the time. that's probably not the best setup either. I still need to get actual surge protectors and shit.

but I haven't really looked into this all that much. I'd like to hear other people's setups as well. also, I hear so many people recommend storing their shit on the cloud, but just as many complain that the "best" cloud services lost their data. that, to me is unacceptable.

I have about 3500 doujins located different folders in various states of organisation. What is the best way to import this in HappyPanda?

There are two things that I like that I find quite hard to get good material from.

it is not indeed. i use zfs (software raid) so i can also send incremental snapshots to the disaster recovery location. disk cloning software is too slow because it doesn't handle incrementals. rsync/robocopy will do differential transfers but they're still too slow when you start to have a shitload of small files.

the whole point of having a collection is to have it ready in case shit hits the fan, it has to be offline and accessible at all times: even if my upload bandwidth would let me i wouldn't trust any "cloud" provider with it.

the only stuff i would consider hosting on a cloud provider (if they're cool with adult material) it's the metadata (mainly tags and cover images) to help fellow fappers organize their shit.
