Thing is, all their manufacturing techniques that they perfected from the Americans, British, Germans, etc. have now been copied by Korean and Chinese companies.

When I worked for Samsung a couple of decades ago their process was copied from Japan such as the Kanban principles.

The Koreans superceded the Japanese. They in turn where out priced by the Chinese who could make a fair if not comparable product at lower cost.

China has become the forge of the world but some countries products, like Japan, still hold sway around the world. Even Made in Britain is still seen as a mark of quality in China!
