Regarding the ad situation I'm not sure what to do.
I don't blame Miao for what he did and I've spoken to him about it.
Miao put ads from a-ads up since they're the most privacy friendly ones he found with full transparency.
He also contacted Jlist and they've replied but the estimated amount isn't a lot either.
We're not desperate for money but like it'd be nice to somehow get enough to pay for the site entirely.

For "Fix tag() function" he just copy pasted a file he forgot to commit, it took three days of me telling him to fix tags for him to do that, and even then i had to search specifically myself what was causing it and spoonfeed him on it
He's also too lazy to add the tag variables to the search form in order to keep the searched tag in the input instead of having it empty after every page refresh, he's been asking me to do this for a week now instead of doing it himself
He's done some other things as seen in your link but it's really not much, especially if compared to how much more he used to do

Who's more successful at preserving Nyaa's database and content as of this current moment? Cartel or the "alternatives"? This is a legitimately concerning thing for me personally because I've been using Nyaa rigorously before it went down and I've had a lot of the future upcoming Blu-Ray Remaster Remuxes on the list (like the entirety of Urusei Yatsura, for example) which were worked on at that time. What I'm essentially asking is - if I were to use one of the "new substitutions" that are currently available, which will be considered a cuckold and which is the "clean, non-defiled" one? If anything, I'd really would've liked to avoid being Cartel's sucky-sucky boy if it's even possible to do so in this so-called self-proclaimed "modern age".

On Nyaa there was previously an existing torrent which contained all episodes of main Kochikame TV show, recorded in different ways (mainly off TV & VHS). I never said these were DVD rips or Blu-Ray remuxes. The point was not on quality, but one the fact this was basically the only existing torrent out there in the entire world which had the entirety of all Kochikame episodes collected in one place. They were also all subbed, if my memory is right. That torrent was ONLY on Nyaa and nowhere else, and it was alive seeding well right until the very day Nyaa kicked the bucket. Now it's nowhere to be found on neither the Pantsu nor Nazi. Was it lost forevermore?
